Onsite Receptionist

  • The Receptionist will welcome participants to our onsite data collection project by checking their IDs, having them sign the NDA, and providing instructions on expected participant behavior during the collection.

Work Responsibilities

  • Treat participants with the utmost level of care and professionalism
  • Check participants in and out of the study through booking software
  • Confirm that participant information is logged correctly
  • Guide participants from project inception to signature, while distilling the purpose of the study
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date information through transparent and clear communication
  • Facilitate project changes for scheduling and resource planning
  • File study documentation when appropriate
  • Provide ongoing support and information to participants
  • Arrange for the training sessions
  • Manage daily schedule and find replacement participants in case of cancellations
  • Manage the availability of water, snacks, and other goods and supplies

Job Requirements

  • Idiomatic fluency in Swahili
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Strong project management and prioritization skills
  • Self-motivated, quick learner, and organized
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects at once and effectively multitask
  • Quality and detail-oriented mindset
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Availability to work from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm

Remote Scheduler

  • DataForce by TransPerfect is seeking a remote Scheduler to join our team for a new data collection project in Kenya! This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an innovative project to improve Artificial Intelligence technology.

Role Summary

  • The Scheduler is responsible for scheduling participants for onsite data collection. The Scheduler will communicate with potential participants via phone or email, as well as screen them based on defined criteria, and schedule them based on their availability. The Scheduler is also responsible for responding to pre-study participant questions, and pre-study follow-up to encourage attendance and minimize no-shows. The Scheduler is the main face of our team to people participating in this onsite study.

Role Responsibilities

  • Validation of candidates via phone calls according to project requirements
  • Checking candidate availability for the project
  • Answering candidates’ questions
  • Providing logistic information
  • Scheduling candidates for a session time
  • Filling out the session schedule days in advance
  • Remind Participants of upcoming appointments
  • Communicate changes to participants
  • Act as Liaison between participants and Project manager
  • Resolve scheduling conflicts as they occur

Job Requirements

  • Idiomatic fluency in Swahili
  • Able to work a flexible schedule as needed
  • Experience working in a call center or handling a high volume of calls, is a plus
  • Computer competency for data entry and the creation of reports and schedules
  • Experience working as a company team member
  • Resilient personality; must look for opportunities to adjust through applied feedback, and must be able to shift focuses quickly
  • Must possess outstanding customer service and excellent communication skills including phone, email, and electronic media communications
  • Must be extremely detail-oriented
  • Clerical or administrative experience is a plus
  • Must be positive and professional
  • Ability to manage multiple calls
  • Excellent Multitasker
  • Availability to work from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm
