Pre-authorization Clerks
SHL/HRD/01/12/23: REGISTRATION/PRE-AUTHORIZATION CLERKS
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The job holder will be responsible for ensuring efficient and orderly admission of inpatients, registration of outpatients, ensures that accurate patient information is collected and verifying insurance benefits and eligibility also ensure that all incoming telephone calls are promptly and courteously answered and routed to the correct extensions within the Hospital.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Register patients accurately and in a timely manner making sure all information is correct, insurance is verified at the time of registration and all applicable signatures are obtained.
- Collect applicable co-pays/co-insurance/deductibles, post payments, give receipts among others correlated functions
- Co-ordinate completion of prior authorization, if needed from insurance through verifying patients’ insurance eligibility
- Work with insurance plans to pre-authorize and re-authorization of patient services;
- Maintain contact management regarding status of authorization and any additional documentation or information needed;
- Greet each patient and visitor courteously and respectfully.
- Directs patients and visitors to appropriate areas after every stage especially for those patients and visitors that are unsure of where they need to go within the hospital.
- Answer switchboard promptly and courteously following all protocols set up with transferring calls to departments.
- Monitor patient wait times both before and after registration keeping them notified of any delays and waits.
- Adheres to and promote the established values of the organization, i.e., Service excellence, passionate, teamwork among others.
- Responsible for ensuring proper filling of all invoices as per laid down procedures
- Performs any other duties as may be assigned from time to time
KEY COMPETENCIES
- Diploma in business administration, public relations, Health Records from a recognized institution
- Previous experience as a registration clerk/Pre-authorization clerk in a busy medical facility
- At least 5 years relevant work experience
- Good understanding of hospital information system
- Must have basic accounting skills

Pharmacist
SHL/HRD/05/12/23: PHARMACIST
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To ensure that high quality standards are maintained at all times in the provision of medication and medical consumables per the Savannah defined policies and procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure all processed drug orders are counter signed at all times
- Ensure that the Pharmacy is well stocked as per the set re-order levels. Do daily counts, spot counts, monthly stock takes and give a timely, accurate report with valid explanation on variances and expiries to the Chief Executive Officer
- Notify the doctors and nurses and other clinical team on out of stock drugs
- Prevention of medication errors by counter checking and verifying the prescription/ treatment sheets on doses, allergies, patient identification, right drug, eligibility and give clear usage instructions.
- Check on Drugs/surgical items expiry dates;
- Check expiries of the allocated shelf and emergency trolley monthly (ensure short expiry items are replaced) and inform the concerned parties
- Enhance FIFO/FEFO on short expiry drugs and share the short expiry list with the doctors to assist in prescribing.
- Client satisfaction; a) Ensure client satisfaction through high quality of service, effective communication, prompt feedback and escalation of any unresolved issues to the relevant person for follow up. b) Ensure that the standardized tool for patient satisfaction feedback is filed for measurement, follow-up and improvement.
- Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
- Any other duty as assigned by the management from time to time.

- A valid pharmaceutical technologist license

Dental Assistant
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Job holder will be responsible of assist the Dental Surgeon in the provision of comprehensive dental services in line with the Hospital’s mission.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Preparing and passing dental materials and instruments to the dentist during procedures.
- Cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of dental instruments.
- Dusting and disinfection of the worktops and equipment.
- Coordinating proper waste disposal.
- Receiving the patients and their attendants from the reception and directing them to their seats in the surgery.
- Managing supply of dental materials
- Taking dental radiographs
- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION:
- Diploma in Dental Technology
- At least two years’ experience preferably in a busy dental practice.
- Self-motivated with ability to work without supervision.
- Excellent customer service and people management skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
Human Resource Assistant
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
- Recruitment: Assisting with the recruitment process, including reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews, and performing background checks
- Record maintenance: Maintaining employee databases, tracking attendance and leaves, and processing employee documentation
- Payroll: Assisting with payroll processing, including ensuring timely salary payments and filing statutory returns
- Policy formulation: Assisting with formulating policies and procedures, and communicating updates to employees
- Employee support: Providing clerical support to office staff, and serving as a point of contact for employees with HR-related questions or issues
- Compliance: Ensuring HR records and procedures comply with legal regulations and company policies

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION:
- Degree/Diploma in Human Resource Management or Certified Human Resource Professional qualification (CHRP).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a HR-related position
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of labour laws and government regulations that concern workplaces and employment matters.
- Thorough understanding of human resource practices and industry trends.
- Ability to manage deadlines and stressful situations.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Highly motivated individual.
