Assistant Administrator – Campus Services (Town Campus)

JOB OBJECTIVE

• KCA University seeks to recruit a candidate from among current staff to fill the following position;

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Respond to incoming telephone calls, emails and prospective students’ requests for information in a positive, realistic and friendly manner
• Receive and review incoming applications and facilitate students through the admission process
• Input students’ data into the ERP accurately and ensure timely revision where necessary
• Initiate and maintain relationships with stakeholders such as high schools, colleges and recruitment agencies
• Communicate effectively to prospective students, information on application procedures and student life of the campus
• Maintain a database of student information, telephone logs and students’ feedback in order to generate student reports
• Ensure there is enough supply of stationary to various offices as will be required for optimal operations including ensuring that lecturers access teaching materials e.g. maker-pens etc.
• Maintain and share departmental reports to the supervisor in a timely manner
• Implement innovative communication and recruitment strategies in line with the university guidelines
• Assist with provision of on job training for student engagement programme (SEP) and work study students
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by your Supervisor from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelors Degree in Administration/ Business/IT or related courses from a recognized University
• 1 years’ experience in Office Administration/Marketing/Customer Care or related roles.

OTHER SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Knowledge of University programmes and admission requirements
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and database
• Good organizational skills.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Plumber

JOB OBJECTIVE

• The job holder will be responsible for providing all general tasks ranging from fixing leakages to installing pipes and HVAC systems. He/She will be required to install and maintain well-functioning systems that transport water, waste or gases in line with applicable technical and safety standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Read blueprints and drawings to understand or plan the layout of plumbing, waste disposal and water supply systems
• Maintain logs, daily reports, inventory, and consumables.
• Recommend the purchase of relevant consumables and equipment as required.
• Cut, assemble and install pipes and tubes with attention to existing infrastructure.
• Install & maintain water supply systems and waste disposal systems
• Locate and repair issues with water supply lines (e.g. leaks)
• Repair or replace broken drainage lines, clogged drains, faucets etc.
• Repair other related plumbing appliances and fixtures (e.g. sinks) etc.
• Install and maintain gas and liquid heating systems (air-conditioning units etc.)
• Install waste disposal and sanitary systems with well-functioning DWV systems
• Champion green energy initiatives within the University facilities in order to minimise plumbing related costs.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Diploma in Plumbing and or its equivalent from a reputable institution.
• Minimum of Three (3) years relevant working experience
• Experience of working within an educational environment or hospitality industry will be an added advantage
• Solid understanding of collection, distribution and disposal systems in residential, commercial and educational buildings
• Working knowledge of heating and ventilation systems as well as appliances
• Professional Membership.

OTHER SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Computer literate
• Knowledge of relevant professional standards
• Knowledge of modern waste recycling systems
• Must have a thorough knowledge of pumps & hydraulic systems,
• Attention to detail
