Ward Administrators
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Ward Administrator shall be responsible to the Sub County Administrator for the following:
- Coordinating, managing and supervising the general administrative functions in the Ward Unit.
- Developing Policies and Plans.
- Liaising with National Government Staff at the Ward level.
- Ensuring effective service delivery.
- Establishing, implementing and monitoring performance management systems.
- Coordinating developmental activities to empower the Community.
- Providing and maintaining infrastructure and facilities of Public Service.
- Facilitating and coordinating Citizen participation in the development of Policies and delivery services.
- Exercising any functions and powers delegated by the County Public Service Board and any other authority.
- Perform any other function that may be assigned from time to time by respective Supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT
For appointment to this grade, an Officer must: –
- Be a Kenyan Citizen.
- Be a Holder of the first Degree from a University recognized in Kenya preferably Social Sciences.
- Working experience of not less than Five (5) years in Administration/Management.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of Devolution, the County development objectives and Vision 2030 and
- Must be computer literate.

Village Administrator – 4 Positions
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Village Administrator shall coordinate, manage and supervise the general administrative function in the Village including:-
- Chair the Village Council.
- Ensure and co-ordinate the participation of the Village Unit in governance
- Assisting the village unit to develop the administrative capacity for the effective exercise of the functions and powers and participation in governance at the local level.
- Supervise development activities at the Village level.
- Monitor the implementation of Policies at the Village level.
- Advise the Ward Administrator and Sub County Administrator on matters pertaining the Village.
- Spearhead peace initiatives, Community Cohesion and Integration at the Village level.
- Appointment of village council with the approval of the County Assembly.
- Exercise any functions and powers as delegated by the County Public Service Board.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Ward Administrator.
REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT
For appointment to the Position of Village Administrator, an Applicant should: –
- Be a Kenyan Citizen.
- Be Holder of a Professional Qualifications and Technical knowledge in Administration.
- Have knowledge, experience and distinguished Career of not less than three (3) years in Administration.
- Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 on Leadership and Integrity.
