Strategy Department Consumer Research Analyst

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administration of Group wide survey research and survey modelling, and manage the formulation and coordination of research projects with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Engage business teams to ensure implementation of strategic initiatives in research, surveys and determine new ideas to drive product and service penetration by understanding new customer tastes and preferences, unarticulated customer needs and existing unmet needs, customer experience and sentiments and make actionable recommendations for customer value propositions with the aim to unlock business potential; pilot, test and incubate business solutions and products before scaling. 
  • Manage a broad range of sources (internal and external) of current market information and prepare thematic presentations on micro-economic trends, tracking of pricing and product features for financial products and services to provide harmonized tariff details, trends and observations and eliciting feedback on the same whilst instilling confidence in market research.
  • Track changes in segment size and income pools for target customer value propositions with the aim of growing business value for the segments.
  • Provide impactful insights product performance (top vs bottom) through proactive engagement with business leaders or lead co-creation workshops to understand needs, prioritize enhancement of customer value propositions and products with the aim to unlock business potential.
  • Prepare management reports for senior executive management committees on thematic market research reports, strategic research surveys and market assessment. 
  • Maintain close relationships with the research community to discover and build new partnerships to stay on cutting edge of research.
  • Be the custodian of knowledge and insights for wide dissemination across KCB Group by ensuring effective platforms are in place.

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Quantitative methods, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Expert proficiency in Advanced Excel skills (MS Excel), SPSS, STATA, R or Python.
  • A Master’s degree in Business, Mathematics or Quantitative methods related course will be an added advantage.
  • At least 4 years working experience in market research or data analysis, including experience in the following areas:

Banking System Operations Department Applications Support Manager

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and participate in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies and priorities for assigned programs. Recommend, develop and administer policies and procedures. Recommend, within divisional policy, appropriate service and staffing levels. 
  • Plan, direct, coordinate and review the work plan for Applications Support staff. Assign work activities, projects and programs. Review and evaluate work products, methods and procedures. Meet with staff to identify and resolve problems.

Job Description

  • Lead detailed negotiations with customers, obtain commitment to implement appropriate strategies and actions to improve Business and Bank risk concerns. 
  • Recommend new lending propositions, strategies and actions demonstrating well thought out decisions and judgement for deals within discretion, undertake analysis and recommendations for decision above discretion.

Legal Risk & Compliance.Senior Legal Counsel, Risk & Compliance

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review legislation, proposed bills, judicial decisions, best practice and market trends which have an impact on the Bank and advise/recommend changes to Bank policies and procedures. 
  • Provide support in ensuring that the Bank complies with all applicable laws and regulations. Provide advice in relation to compliance matters as contained in the legislation.
  • Conduct internal legal compliance audits and examinations to ensure compliance with legislative requirements. Liaise with relevant business where legal risks have been identified, to develop mitigating measures and implement remedial action.
  • Update legal compliance checklists and matrixes used for undertaking legal compliance reviews in line with legislation.
  • Conduct legal risk analysis and provide legal support for new and ongoing Bank projects and provided legal support in research, drafting and review of Bank policies, product terms and conditions. 
  • Undertake risk related divisional activities (DORCCO, KRIs. RCSA. KCSA, Ethics Compliance, BIA, RVA, BCP & disaster recovery, audit tracker and crisis management) as allocated.
  • Undertake intellectual property registration and life cycle management as allocated.
  • Power of Attorney (PA) Management: Preparation, registration, revocation and maintain data/information of the KCB Kenya PAs.
  • Case law management (internal and external case law and legal opinions) and preparation and dissemination of practice notes, FAQs and training materials and guidelines.

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law from a recognized University
  • Post graduate diploma in Law
  • Minimum post admission experience of 5 years; which should include experience in legal drafting, communication and advocacy
  • A Master’s degree in Law would be an added advantage
