Consular Associate (Fraud Prevention) – USEFMs Only
Duties
Basic Function of the Position:
- Under the direct supervision of the Fraud Prevention Manager, the Consular Associate is assigned a wide range of responsibilities in the Fraud Prevention Unit (FPU). The jobholder provides consular services to U.S. citizens, conducts nonadjudicatory visa processing, and assists in investigation and validation studies. Incumbent also handles correspondence with the public, attorneys, U.S. and host governments, Congress, and other parties. Must be able to secure and maintain a Secret level security clearance.

Requirements:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Completion of High School is required.
JOB KNOWLEDGE: General understanding of U.S. policies related to consular and visa operations.
Education Requirements:
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of three years of office administrative experience is required with at least one year of consular experience.
Evaluations:
LANGUAGE: Level IV (Fluent) Speaking/Reading/Writing of English is required.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Must be able to input data in consular systems with minimum errors, and spot and correct errors made by others (applicants and fellow staff).
- Demonstrated skills in MS Office Suite and general computer skills including information and database management.
- Organizational skills, including task management and filing skills; communication skills including writing skills appropriate for drafting official correspondence and reports.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOS Secret Security clearance.
- Tact and good judgment in dealing with the public, often under difficult and sensitive circumstances.
- Sensitivity in evaluating evidence and applying complex regulations correctly.
- Ability to learn applicable U.S. and host country laws, regulations, legal precedents, and court decisions.
- Good interpersonal skills.

Duties
- The Incumbent works in the Facility Management Section of the Embassy, under the direct supervision and guidance of the Maintenance Supervisor – FSN 08; C52610, to perform master craftsman level masonry construction and repairs throughout the New Embassy Compound (NEC) functional/office buildings, on-compound ancillary support buildings, residential buildings, recreational facilities, and other residential properties.

EXPERIENCE:
- A minimum of three (3) years’ work experience as a mason on commercial or industrial buildings doing maintenance and new construction is required.
JOB KNOWLEDGE:
- Should have a good knowledge of Masonry construction, maintenance, and safety procedures in work related areas, and ability to comprehend and apply relevant safety codes.
- Read and interpret architectural drawings and schematics.
- Excellent working knowledge of materials, mechanical tools, and equipment associated with the masonry trade.
Education Requirements:
- Completion of secondary school is required. Completion of vocational training program from an accredited institute recognized as producing journeyman Level Certification Grade 1 in Masonry field is required.

Office Management Assistant – USEFMs Only All Agencies
Duties
- The incumbent performs clerical and administrative duties as the Office Management Assistant (OMA) for the Regional Security Office (RSO) pertaining to a multitude of RSO administrative items, both classified and unclassified. The incumbent will need to work independently and possess strong communication skills as the incumbent will be in contact with many diverse individuals on a daily basis. Incumbent will require unescorted access to the Control Access Area (CAA) and a Secret security clearance for most posts, although a Top Secret clearance may be required in certain instances where Post requires it. Position is Part time, 20 hours per week.

INL Program Assistant (USEFMs Only)
Duties
- The Program Assistant (PA) will serve as International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL)/Nairobi’s Contracting Officers’ Representative (COR) and Grants Officers’ Representative (GOR), with Contracting Officers (CO), Grants Officers (GO) and the INL Program Office in the oversight and management of the contracts and grants funded by INL. The PA will also assist in other programmatic support. The PA reports to the Security and Counter-Terrorism Unit Chief within the Political Section, with INL in Washington DC providing guidance about INL issues.
