Sacco Account Assistant
Job Summary
Reporting to the Finance Manager the account assistant will be responsible for preparing and coordinating all duly approved payments and ensuring effective delivery of the payments processes from payments requests all through the payment documents being fully signed together with assisting in collections from partners among others duties.
Duties:
- Maintaining SACCO’S books of accounts including petty cash, banking, and bank reconciliation, and other relevant accounting duties.
- Facilitate timely and accurate processing of supplier, allowances to staff, the Board and other payments.
- Updating the member’s accounts and general ledger, Daily receipting (standing orders, direct debits, M-PESA and Other remittances) and cash management.
- Preparation of statutory deductions incusing Housing levy, NSSF, PAYE, NHIF in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensures budgetary control through maintaining and managing the vote book of the
Sacco. - Debtor and Creditors updates and management including payment schedules.
- Reconciling of members’ accounts.
- Reconciliation of Bank, MPESA and GL accounts.
- Petty cash management and reconciliation.
- Processing yearly dividend /Interest
- Update of membership and preparation of dividends.
- Validating and processing of refunds and withdrawals to ensure the right amount are refunded to the right members.
- Prepare daily summaries of expenses and cash position reports.
- Filing of income tax returns.
- Other duties assigned by the Supervisor from time to time.
Requirements
- At least a qualified person in accounts (CPA or ACCA) with two years of work experiences as an account payable and receivable account assistant. Those with a degree in accounting or relevant courses have a definite advantage.
- One must have a valid driving license and able to drive himself on his own.
- Basic understanding of accountancy and bookkeeping, including knowledge of specialized accounting softwares including Navision software and computer applications like word processing and spreadsheet
- A person with analytic reasoning, a problem solver, attentive to details with time management and critical thinking skills as well as a team player.
- Trustworthy and reliable person with a strong and effective written and oral communication capacities
- Ability to structure one’s efforts to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and by required timelines and deadlines through task prioritization
Compensation
A working wage of Kes 35,000.00 will be offered to the suitable candidate

Accounts Clerk (Events)
Job Summary:
Responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and reconciling bank statements including filing financial documents, updating physical and electronic records, prepare and process bills, invoices, accounts payable and receivable, budgets and other financial records according to established procedures.
Duties:
- Bookkeeping and general accounting in accurately receive and record vouchers, cash, and checks among other transactional documents.
- Create financial documents such as bills, invoices, pay-orders, payables, receivables and purchase orders.
- Verify payments and deposits made through the company account coordinate with the bank, online payment and tills to facilitate reconciliations.
- Posting financial transactions using Zoho accounting (online) software
- Produce a variety of financial reports, including management reports and support auditors to produce financial statements like income statements and balance sheets
- Manage statutory deductions in the payroll, SHA, NSSF, Housing Levy, PAYE, ensure timely release of salaries and payment to government agencies
- Identify discrepancies in ledgers and accounts, tracking them to the source and correcting them, bank reconciliation and report any discrepancies found in the records
- Support tax payments and filing and maintain a financial filing system.
- Coordinate and manage payment and billing details of external service providers, contractors and vendors.
- Assist with budgeting as needed and support the team with various projects and tasks as needed.
Requirements

Duties:
- Prospect, generate leads, develop relationships, negotiate, prepare & present event sales presentations and close new business clients.
- Sell portfolio of corporate sales products including: Branding, Marketing Promotion & Packaging, Corporate Events. Live Events, Roadshows & Product launch and Events Equipment hiring
- Communicate with customers to understand their requirements and needs and offer solutions based on clients’ needs and capabilities
- Reach out to existing and potential customers geared toward interacting with them by attending to their events to offer products and services.
- Leverage existing individual network, community service groups and other lead generators to use a variety of methods and resources to creatively engage with and enhance partner relationships to overcome challenges, create business opportunities and exceed company sales set objectives.
- Analyze the value and report results of each event and on the prospects, pipelines and closed business, encountered challenges and any other feedback
- Work with accounts team to ensure timely invoicing and collections.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- A diploma in sales, marketing or any other related field and two years sales experience. Prior sales experience in the industry is a definite advantage.
- Outstanding negotiation and persuasion skills with the ability to handle rejection, objections and address or resolve complaints.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills coupled with being a team player.
Strong convincing ability. - Ability to communicate, negotiate with external vendors and service providers and strong organizational and management skills.
- Self-starter’s attitude and familiarity with event trends and developments.
- Ability to plan, execute projects and work in a fast-paced environment and creating and adhering to budgets.
Compensation:
A retainer of Kes 30,000.00 with a highly competitive commission structure will be offered to the best candidates.
