Orthopeadic Trauma Technologist III Interns – 2 Posts
Duties and responsibilities: –
- Interpreting radiology images of orthopedic and trauma cases;
- Manipulating and reducing fractures and dislocations;
- Fixing and removing casts, bandages and tractions to and frompatients;
- Counselling patients/clients on issues regarding orthopedic trauma;
- Correcting Congenital Talipes Equino-Varus (C.T.E.V);
- Documenting orthopedic and trauma case
- Assessing and referring patients with Musculo-skeletal conditions
- Participating in the management of minor orthopedic and trauma cases in emergenciesandaccidents;
- Cleaning and treating simple wounds resulting from orthopedic trauma;
- Making follow-ups of orthopedic and trauma cases in the wards and out-patient clinics.

Information & Public Communication Intern
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies.
- Coordinate with program teams to identify communication needs and objectives.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies and adjust plans accordingly.
- Monitor social media trends and analytics to optimize performance
- Develop creative ways to document programmatic processes, successes, and achievements(e.g.through photos/infographics/case stories, in periodic newsletters, brochures, briefs, website, socialsites, etc.)
- Develop and update communication templates and guidelines as needed.
- Store, sort, and maintain a database of photographs of projects and their activities.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for advising stakeholders and clients on all technical matters related totheplanningand development control within the sub county /county

- Undertaking feasibility studies on physical, social, economic and environmental characteristic

Requirements forAppointment:-

- Kenya(Town Planning Chapter) or Town & county planners Association of Kenya(TCPAK) Computer proficiency;

Laboratory Technologist Interns
Duties and Responsibilities
- Cleaning and sterilizing laboratory glassware, surfaces, and equipment;
- documentingandreceiving samples for analysis;
- Preparing laboratory reagents;
- Carrying out chemical/microbiological analysis on samples (food, water, wastewater, andbeverages);
- Extracting, isolating, and identifying drugs, pesticides, and heavy metals frombiological
- andmiscellaneous samples; and disposing of laboratory waste.
- Performing any other duties that may be assigned by the supervisor
Requirement for appointment
- Be a Kenyan citizen not over the age of 35 years
- Be in possession of a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences or any other equivalentqualification from an institution recognized by the Kenya Medical Laboratory TechniciansandTechnologist Board (KMLTTB) acquired within the last twenty-four (24) months
- Registration Certificate issued by KMLTTB
- Valid practicing license from KMLTTB
- Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution
- Not have benefited from a similar internship program or been exposed to work experiencerelated to their area of study since graduating. Not have exited fromformalemployment
Pharmaceutical Technologist Interns
Duties and Responsibilities.
- Dispensing drugs/medicines to patients under supervision of a senior officer
- Receiving interpreting and processing prescriptions
- Recording prescriptions in a pharmacy unit
- Pre-packing, repacking and writing instructions on labels
- Counselling patients on usage of drugs in a pharmacy unit
- Maintaining drug register/books
- Stock – taking of drugs and medicine devices on monthly basis
Minimum Requirements for this position
- Diploma in either Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Technology or equivalent qualificationapproved by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board from a recognized institution
- Certificate of Enrollment as a Pharmaceutical Technologist awarded by the PharmacyandPoisons Board
- Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution.
Driver III
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities at this level will involve:
- Driving a motor vehicle as authorized, Carrying out routine checks on the vehicle’s cooling, oil, electrical and brake systems, tyrepressure, e.t.c. Detecting and reporting malfunctioning of vehicle systems;
- Maintenance of work tickets for vehicles assigned;
- Ensuring security and safety for the vehicle on and off the road, safety of the passengersand/or goods therein;
- Maintaining cleanliness of the vehicle.
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education mean grade D plain or its equivalentqualification from a recognized Institution, A valid driving license free from any current endorsement(s) for class (es) of vehicle(s)anofficer is required to drive;
- Attended a First-Aid Certificate Course lasting not less than one (1) week at St. JohnAmbulance or Kenya Institute of Highway and Building Technology (KIHBT) or anyotherrecognized Institution;
- Passed Suitability Test for Driver Grade III;
- Passed Practical Test for Drivers conducted by the respective Ministry/Department;
- A valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Kenya Police; and
- At least two (2) years driving experience.
