School Nurse
Overall purpose of the job:
Reporting to the Head Emergency Rescue Services, the incumbent will be responsible for provision of quality nursing care.
Key responsibilities:
- To provide first aid care and health assessment
- To facilitate management of students with chronic or acute health conditions
- To administer medications to the students
- To educate and train school community on general health wellbeing
- To perform appropriate clinical nursing procedures
Position requirements:
- Diploma in Nursing
- Must have a valid registration certificate from the Nursing council
- At least 2 years experience as a practicing nurse
- Previous experience as a school nurse will be an added advantage
- Technical expertise in nursing procedures
- ICT competency
- Excellent communication and customer skills
