Royal Media Services Limited is seeking to recruit a highly motivated and experienced individual for the aforementioned position. The job holder will be responsible for driving our staff and clients to their destinations. They will also be responsible for making sure the vehicle assigned is always clean and in good working order. Your priority is to make staff and clients feel comfortable while traveling.
The roles of the Driver Position will include the following: –
- Driving a variety of vehicles, such as cars, buses and trucks
- Picking up clients/staff and driving them to the desired destination
- Mapping out driving routes to ensure a timely arrival
- Performing inspections of vehicles and equipment
- Maintaining a high degree of professionalism and customer service
- Assisting with loading and unloading the luggage
- Keeping track of road conditions
- Identify/ensure strict observance of the work schedule
- Ensure safety on the road
- Assist in the scheduling of maintenance of vehicles.
Skills and Personal Attributes:
- A clean driving record with no traffic violations

Academic and Professional Experience:
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Logistics or any other related field from a recognized Institution.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in transport industry.
- Valid Driving licence

JOB DESCRIPTION
- Generate ideas for sports stories for RMS Sports centre – all RMS Platforms.
- Anchoring sports news
- Hosting sport shows.
- Keep tabs with current sports news events and write captivating stories for the portal.
- Developing daily docket, running orders and show plans
- Devise and implement strategies to continuously grow news audience numbers
- Attend and cover a wide range of athletic events, including but not limited to track and field, cross country, and road races.
- Write easy and captivating sports news articles from sports events – on-field and off-field
- Craft punchy headlines and kickers to captivate the reader
- Guiding correspondents on the best story angles to take
- Maintain close and effective contact with sports news sources
- Coordinate with the social media desk to ensure sports news articles are promptly shared and driven across the Company’s social media pages
- Craft timely SMS sports news alerts and share with the social media desk for diffusion on the social media pages
- Perform any other editorial duties assigned by the Head of RMS Sports Centre.
Requirements
- A Degree in Journalism/Mass Communication/ Communication Studies
- At least 3 years experience in a busy newsroom as a sports subeditor anchor or reporter.
- Proven experience in sports journalism, with a focus on athletics preferred.
- Knowledge of athletics rules, regulations, and trends.
- Deep and thorough knowledge of local and international sports
- A rich broadcast voice.
- Audio and Video editing skills
- Good command of Kalenjin ,English and Kiswahili languages ( Attach Video and Voice demos)
- A clear understanding of the Journalistic Code of Ethics and Conduct
- Ability and willingness to work during odd hours
- Knowledge of social media optimization tools
- Have a strong presence on social media
- Deep knowledge of audio editing and relevant tools
