Reports to: Head of ICT
An Enterprise Architect (EA) will be responsible for aligning Kingdom Bank’s technology strategy with its business goals. Their role is to bridge the gap between business needs and IT solutions, ensuring that the company’s IT infrastructure supports its long-term objectives. Enterprise Architects play a critical part in ensuring that IT not only supports but also drives business growth.
Responsibilities
Strategic Planning:
- Develop and maintain the organization’s IT architecture framework.
- Align IT strategies with business objectives and market trends.
- Provide strategic direction on emerging technologies and innovation.
Architecture Design:
- Design and oversee the implementation of enterprise-wide systems and processes.
- Create blueprints and roadmaps for enterprise architecture domains (e.g., applications, data, infrastructure, security).
- Ensure interoperability and scalability of systems.
Governance:
- Establish architecture standards, policies, and best practices.
- Lead compliance efforts with industry regulations and security protocols.
- Oversee vendor selection and ensure alignment with architectural guidelines.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with business leaders to understand goals and challenges.
- Collaborate with IT teams, developers, and project managers to implement solutions.
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
Risk Management:
- Assess and mitigate risks associated with technology investments.
- Develop contingency plans and ensure business continuity.
Required Skills and Competencies
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in frameworks like TOGAF, Zachman, or ArchiMate.
- Deep understanding of cloud computing, data management, cybersecurity, and enterprise systems.
- Knowledge of DevOps, microservices, and API integrations.
Business Acumen:
- Strong understanding of business processes, financial models, and operational goals.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business terms.
Leadership:
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Analytical Thinking:
- Ability to assess complex systems and identify opportunities for optimization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in IT, including roles in architecture, software development, or IT management.
- Certifications such as TOGAF, ITIL, AWS/Azure Solutions Architect, or PMP are highly desirable.
