1. Professional and Higher Categories (P and D)
International staff in the P and D categories are recruited globally. Their salaries consist of a Base Salary plus a Post Adjustment to account for the cost of living in Nairobi.
- Currency: Paid in US Dollars (USD).
- Post Adjustment (Nairobi): Approximately 39.6% added to the net base salary.

- P-1 (Entry Level): $62,252 – $86,033.
- P-2 (Associate Officer): $80,495 – $109,332.
- P-3 (Officer): $104,210 – $136,455.
- P-5 (Senior Officer): $154,773 – $193,966.

2. General Service (GS/G) and Related Categories
Staff in this category are typically recruited locally to provide administrative, secretarial, and technical support.
- Currency: Usually quoted and paid in Kenya Shillings (KES).
- Estimated Monthly Net Salaries (Minimums):
- GS-1: ~KES 72,181 (approx. $562).
- GS-3: ~KES 131,549 (approx. $1,019).
- GS-5: ~KES 220,213 (approx. $1,697).
- GS-6: ~KES 273,065 (approx. $2,108).

3. Field Service (FS)

4. National Professional Officers (NO)
