ICT Officer _ HR CBO Services
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop ICTs strategies, plans and policies for the project
- Specify and provide technology to meet the project needs
- Provide user training of ICT resources and ensuring the security of ICT systems.
- Responsible for the design, coordination and implementation of the monitoring and evaluation, research, and learning framework of the Project.
- Develop a systematic monitoring framework to improve the qualitative and quantitative evidence gathered by the Project
- Provide technical assistance particularly in relation to monitoring, reporting and governance issues.
- Design and establish internal databases and files for CBO
- Provide technical advice to CBO clients when necessary.
- Performs 2nd level desktop troubleshooting in conjunction with the Help Desk.
- Oversee software distribution updates, scripting, testing and support.
- Coordinate with other organizational units on issues that affect desktop administration and configuration.
- Plan, schedule, and co-ordinates the work of the project team
- Provide full range of technical assistance in the area of ICT administration and support.
- Acts as problem escalation point for staff at lower levels
- Generates workload and performance reports on a regular basis.
- Act as the client contact point for ICT services
- Ensure that quality assurance procedures are implemented.
- Ensures that all requests are logged and tracked with minimum delay
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications/special skills
- A 1st Level Degree in Information Science or equivalent is required. A minimum of 4 years of experience in Information science or related field is required. Familiarity with UN recruitment processes is desirable but not a must. Experience with Oracle PeopleSoft software is required Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work in a multicultural and diverse environment is required. Proficiency in Information Technology tools is required.
Associate Project Officer
Under the overall guidance of the Chief, TAU, the Associate Project Officer will perform the following duties:
- Work under the CBO framework to facilitate the development, implementation and evaluation of assigned programmes/projects.
- Monitor and analyze specific aspects of programme/project development and implementation – Review relevant documents, reports, identify problems and recommend corrective actions
- Carry out basic research on selected aspects of programmes, operations and other activities.
- Provide substantive support for policy coordination and evaluation functions, including the review and analysis of emerging issues and trends, participation under the CBO framework in evaluations or research activities and studies.
- Assist in performing consulting assignments, in collaboration with the client, by planning facilitating workshops, through other interactive sessions and assisting in developing the action plan the client will use to manage the change.
- Participate in survey initiatives
- Contribute to the preparation of various written outputs, e.g. draft background papers, analytical notes, sections of reports and studies, inputs to publications, etc.
- Provide administrative and substantive support to consultative and other meetings – Undertake outreach activities, participate in the development of training workshops, seminars and participate in and make presentations on assigned topics/activities.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor and maintain the quality of recruitment services provided under the CBO framework, continuously seeking improvements.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications/special skills
- An advanced university degree in business administration, management, economics or a related field is required. A first level degree with two additional years of experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree. A minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in project/programme management, administration or related area is required.
