Deputy Chief of Party
Job Description
The duties and responsibilities shall be: –
The Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) is responsible for assisting the COP with regards to program leadership, strategic planning, management and quality assurance. He/She will deputize for the COP during absences. Depending on the applicant’s proposed staffing structure, the DCOP may have other designated responsibilities outside assisting the COP, such as being responsible for more day-to-day management issues than the COP.
Experience in implementing USAID supported projects and knowledge of USAID rules and regulations as well as compliance requirements is an added advantage.
The DCOP must have:
- 8 years’ experience in project management
- Bachelor’s degree in International Affairs, Economic Development, Public Management, Sociology, Community Development or related field relevant to the position requirements,
- Minimum 5 years working in designing and implementation of development projects with emphasis on accountable governance, inclusion and participation.
- Prior experience supervising staff and short-term experts/consultants.
Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist
Responsibilities:
Responsible for overseeing all aspects of Monitoring, Evaluation, Reporting, Learning and Adapting (MERLA) for the project, including designing, and putting in place robust MERLA systems, tracking indicator data for the prime contractor and partners, data quality control, drafting required reports, and facilitating mechanisms for programmatic learning and adapting.
Experience in implementing USAID supported project and knowledge of USAID rules and regulations as well as compliance requirements is an added advantage.
Qualifications:
- 5 years’ experience in written communications and M&E
- Bachelor’s degree in International Affairs, Data Management, Journalism, Public Management, or related field relevant to the position requirements
- Minimum 3 years working in international development.
