Pharmaceutical Technologist III
Duties and Responsibilities
- receiving, interpreting, and processing prescriptions;
- recording prescriptions in a pharmacy unit;
- pre-packing, repacking and writing instructions on labels;
- counselling patients on usage of drugs in a pharmacy unit; maintaining drug registers/books; and
- stock-taking of drugs and medicinal devices on monthly basis.
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, an officer must:
- Diploma in either Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Technology or equivalent qualification approved by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board from a recognized institution;
- Certificate of Enrollment as a Pharmaceutical Technologist awarded by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB); and
- Certificate in computer application skills front recognized stalls institution
Chief Accountant
Duties and Responsibilities
An officer at this level will be responsible for: –
- Planning, directing, coordinating, supervising areas of control, training and development of staff under him/her;
- Setting targets for the division and may occasionally be required to undertake ad hoc assignments relating to accounting services;
- Maybe called upon to assist in preparations of final accounts;
- Ensure safe custody of Government assets and records under him/her;
- Responsible for authorizing payments and signing of cheques subject to set limits;
- Responsible for timely and accurate preparation of management reports that fall under his/her division;
- Responsible for providing guidance to officers under him/her to achieve the desired results.
Requirements for Appointment
For this appointment an officer must have: –
- Six (6) years of working experience of which three (3) should be in a senior position in Public Service or the Private Sector;
- A Bachelor degree in commerce (Accounting or Finance option) and passed Part II of the Certified Public Accountants (CPA) Examination;
OR
- Passed Part III of Certified Public Accountants (CPA) Examination or its recognized equivalent.

Public Health Officer III
Duties and Responsibilities
- mobilizing, sensitizing and advising communities on matters related to environmental health; referring health cases to relevant health facilities;
- carrying out immunization; identifying environmental health issues at community level;
- organizing community health days to advise communities on common public health issues;
- collecting and maintaining up to date records of services rendered;
- assessing health needs of the community;
- implementing vector, vermin and rodent control measures; and
- implementing integrated mosquito control strategies.
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, an officer must:
- Diploma in either Environmental Health Science or Public Health Inspection from a recognized institution; and
- Certificate in Computer application skills from a recognized institution
