The Financial Inclusion Programme Assistant is responsible for:
Training
- To assist in training on financial and non-financial programmes for women and communities
- Training on group formation, group dynamics and enhancing capacity for women to participate effectively in financial inclusion initiatives.

Credit Provision
- Disburse loans of different products to different women groups as per the budget.
- To provide a financial health check after the receipt of financial support to ensure that the women continue to manage their finances effectively.
- Business assessment of all the women groups eligible for the Revolving Loan Fund
- Create linkages with financial and non-financial institutions
- Mobilize resources for the initiative.
- Working in collaboration with LIPs Local Implementing Partners to ensure flow of activities

QUALIFICATIONS
ACADEMIC:
- Diploma in Business Administration, Social studies, Economics or related field. A degree is an added advantage.
EXPERIENCE

JOB SUMMARY
- The PM&E Intern will be responsible for supporting the designing, developing, managing, and enhancing a relational database acting as a knowledge management system, utilizing local server-based technology (should be assessable online and offline), linking it to Kobo Toolbox for data collection, and integrating it with PowerBI for data visualization and analysis. Additionally, this position entails incorporating a reporting module within the database to generate and disseminate M&E reports effectively.

The PM&E Intern will assist in the following areas:
Database Development:
- Design and develop a comprehensive relational database acting as a knowledge management system using local server-based technology.

Gender Specialist
JOB SUMMARY
- The Gender Specialist will participate in the development of a workable and contextualized Gender Equity and Social Inclusion (GESI) Strategy and oversee its implementation in the aquaculture project dubbed Empowering Youth in Sustainable Aquaculture Markets and Jobs Creation. This strategy will be utilized by ENA and other partners in the aquaculture project to guide Gender Equity and Social Inclusion amongst all programme partners.
- The primary objective of the programme is to reshape prevailing perceptions surrounding the entrepreneurial and employment prospects within the aquaculture sector. By focusing on building knowledge and enhancing capacity, the initiative seeks to inspire young people, particularly women, to recognize and capitalize on the abundant opportunities and growth potential offered by engaging in aquaculture and mariculture.
- A key facet of the programme involves addressing socio-cultural norms and attitudes, with a specific aim to dismantle barriers that contribute to the male-dominated nature of the sector. Through targeted interventions, the consortium aspires to foster a more inclusive environment, ensuring greater participation and representation of women in the aquaculture industry.

- To assist in training on Financial, Aquaculture and Climate Change Adaptation programmes for women and communities
- Training on group formation, group dynamics and enhancing capacity for women to participate effectively in financial inclusion initiatives
- Financial Literacy and entrepreneurial skills.
Credit Provision
- Disburse loans of different products to different women groups as per the budget.
- To provide a financial health check after the receipt of financial support to ensure that the women continue to manage their finances effectively.
- Business assessment of all the women groups eligible for the Revolving Loan Fund
- Create linkages with financial and non-financial institutions
- Support fundraising for implementation of the Programme Centres’ mandate as per the ENA Strategic Plan 2023 – 2027.
- Working in collaboration with Local Implementing Partners to plan and implement activities
- Support identification of women groups to receive cages and fish ponds and management of fish farming
- Conduct follow-ups on loan disbursements & repayment and ensure clean portfolio
Advocacy and Networking
- Facilitate market Linkages to our beneficiaries
- Assist in lobbying and advocacy towards women-responsive laws and policies on financial inclusion.
- Build linkages with the informal sectors to train on savings schemes amongst the informal groups
Client Engagement
- Contributing in the development of a policy for the Revolving Loan Fund for the LIPs.
- Involvement in documentation of the success stories within the communities.
- Mapping of new women groups to strengthen and ensure continuous growth.
- Manage and update County Contact Database.
- Mobilize participants and stakeholders to attend programme meetings and forums.
Reporting
- Preparing documentation for Financial and Programmatic reportingin close working collaboration with ENA’s County Local Implementing Partners.
QUALIFICATIONS
ACADEMIC: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Co-operative Business, Social Studies, Economics or related field.
EXPERIENCE
- Solid knowledge of the financial inclusion sector as evidenced by minimum 3 years of professional experience in reputable financial institutions.
- Practical experience in conducting needs assessments of microfinance clients and analysis of results.
- At least 2 years related experience in report writing and knowledge of project life cycle in addition to programme planning and implementation, would be an added advantage.
PROFESSIONAL/ FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES:
- Ability to evaluate businesses and business plans
- Good written and oral communication skills in English and Kiswahili
- Strong presentation, training and facilitation skills

JOB SUMMARY
- The Project Assistant will handle all the assigned activities and initiatives under Financial Inclusion and Community Resilience at County Level.
KEY TASKS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
