Business Development Representative [Prepaid Business]

Job Objective/Purpose

To enhance growth of the products and services through marketing of the Avenue Prepaid Schemes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client acquisition
    • Responding to prospective prepaid client’s enquiries.
    • Preparing proposals and quotations to prospective corporates.
  • Engaging the insurance brokers and agents on new business and maintaining existing prepaid business.
  • Giving service presentations to new and existing prepaid clients.
  • Debt collection from the existing prepaid clients.
  • Coordinating with the respective units Branch or Hospital Manager on giving clinical support such as health talks,   workshops, and medical camps to the prospective prepaid clients.
  • Renewals of medical schemes for prepaid clients.
  • Carry out monthly or quarterly service meetings with existing prepaid clients.
  • Preparation of weekly and monthly prepaid marketing reports. 

Person Specification

  • Diploma/Degree in Sales & Marketing or Business-related field
  • 3 years’ experience in the healthcare industry
  • Organizational awareness and detailed-oriented
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, teamwork and reliability

Management Accountant [Medical Centres & Homecare]

Job Objective/Purpose

To ensure cost management, collection and reconciliation of financial transactions (revenue and stock) and preparation of reports used at Medical Centres and Homecare.

Key Responsibilities

  • Management accounting: Prepare bi-monthly, monthly and annual management accounts for Homecare and Medical Centres.
  • Budgeting and variance analysis: Collaborate with Homecare Business Manager and Medical Centre Managers to develop annual budgets.
  • Track and analyze monthly expenses against the budget.
  • Audit Management: Manage interactions with internal and external auditors. Respond to all audit queries related to Homecare and Medical Centres. Assist in the preparation of audit schedules. 
  • Tax compliance: Support tax compliance activities, including preparing tax returns and ensuring timely tax payment for Homecare and Medical Centres. 
  • General accounting and ledger maintenance: Review financial transactions of Homecare and Medical Centres for accuracy and validity. Ensure correctness and completeness of ledger entries.
  • Inventory management: Oversee inventory management for Homecare and Medical Centres 
  • Balance sheet schedules and reconciliation: Ensure timely preparation of monthly balance sheet schedules.
  • Resolve discrepancies arising from reconciliations accurately and promptly.
  • Cost management and analysis: Analyze and manage cost for Homecare and Medical Centres.
  • Identify cost saving opportunities and recommend action to improve financial efficiency.
  • Monitor cost trends and variances and provide detailed reports to management.
  • Maintain client/patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.

Person Specification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance or related field.
  • Professional accounting qualification (eg CPA,ACCA) preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience.
  • Proven experience in management accounting, preferably in the healthcare sector.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in an accounting software and Microsoft office suite.
