ICT Officer

JOB SUMMARY

The job holder will be reporting to the Operations Manager. He/She will ensure the ICT systems are at all times functional, efficient, and secure for the smooth running of all processes including:Server and Storage, LAN and WAN Networks, Operating Systems, Backup and security, Disaster Recovery

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the development, implementation, and review of ICT Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Identify vendors of software and hardware, negotiate and ensure the school only acquires what efficiently serves the school
  • Ensure that all ICT hardware is running efficiently and is regularly maintained to reduce breakdowns.
  • Together with users and management, identify areas of the school’s ICT systems that need to be improved, modified, or discarded to ensure the best outcomes.
  • Support of printers and other networked peripherals.
  • Establish backup facilities to ensure there is no loss of data in case of any incidences that compromise the school-based servers.
  • Ensure the security of ICT infrastructure including hardware and software.
  • Act as a champion of ICT leverage in the school by liaising with Departmental heads to automate all processes.
  • Ensure there is an efficient ICT help desk to log and resolve all issues raised by users.
  • Ensure training of all ICT users on how to handle and manage the ICT infrastructure both hardware and software.
  • Manage the user rights of all staff to ensure staff only have rights that they need.
  • Direct cabling, configuring, and installing computer hardware and computer networks and software for network and stand-alone.
  • Perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems.
  • Train users on computer hardware, software, and other electronic office equipment

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of a Diploma or degree in an ICT-related course.
  • Have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a busy setting.
  • Professional certification (e.g. MCSE, MCSD, CISCO).

Social Worker

JOB SUMMARY

The job holder will be reporting to the Director of Administration and will help to direct the Social Work Program for the pupils and their parents/guardians.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in the development, review, and implementation of standard operating procedures that guide the social work program at the organization
  • Participate in education assessment meetings as well as individual educational planning meetings.
  • Work in collaboration with parents/guardians and management to help solve problems in any enrolled child’s living situation that affects the child’s adjustment in school.
  • Prepare the social or developmental history of children admitted to the school
  • Work with the School Counsellor to offer counseling services to parents/guardians.
  • Mobilize family, school, or community resources to enable the child to learn as effectively as possible in his/her educational program.
  • Assist in developing positive behavioral intervention strategies.
  • Serve on student support teams and special education committees at the school for children/pupils.
  • Review student records to identify previous barriers and/or interventions needed.
  • Conduct parent interviews to acquire socio-developmental information as needed for special education referrals.
  • Analyze information gained through record reviews and interviews to determine environmental impacts and appropriate resource needs; integrate gained information into a written report and oral presentation.
  • Carry out scheduled and unscheduled visits to the homes of potential children to review individual circumstances and report findings in writing.
  • Interview pupils and parents to discuss issues related to non-attendance and develop a plan of action.

  • Develop reports on social work aspects and submit them to the management as required.
  • Provide support in developing work plans as well as monitoring and evaluation schedules for social work and other programs in the school.
  • Assist in budgeting for the activities within the social work program.
  • Accomplish any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be a holder of a Diploma/Degree in Social Work or related field.
  • Possess a minimum of 3 years relevant experience in a busy setup.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in the development, implementation, and review of Standard Operating Procedures for counseling.
  • Listen to students’ concerns regarding their social, academic, and personal circumstances.
  • Encourage students to share their emotions and experiences.
  • Empower students to develop structured solutions to their problems.
  • Guide students through challenges such as peer pressure, family problems, and personal and health issues that may be interfering with their academic performance.
