Technical Sales Engineer
Amotech Africa has an exciting opportunity for the right person to join our experienced team as a Technical Sales Engineer who will be Responsible for driving sales of the Amotech Electrical and Thermal imaging solutions primarily in Kenya but additionally for other regions as needed by the business/market in cooperation with the OEM. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Sales Manager and will be responsible for the following:
- Perform market research, segmentation and come up with sales strategies to Penetrate the market
- Building business relationships with current and potential clients
- Conduct sales presentations including demos on thermal imagingsolutions equipment to potential clients to explain the features and benefits
- Offer Technical support for all products under the brand assigned
- Maintainhighlevelrelationshipwiththe OEM representing the Brand by attendingmeetingsand conducting joint customer visits when necessary.
- Initiate marketing strategies to promote Thermal imaging and electrical equipment sales
- Be at par with the tenders relating to Thermal imaging and electrical equipment and services
- Provide excellent customerservice by addressing customerinquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Identify new business opportunities and understand customer preferences
- Maintain accurate recordsof customer interactions and sales activities Implement sales strategies to achieve and exceed targets
- Achieve and exceed sales targets set by Amotech Africa always maintaining a healthy sales pipeline
- Report on sales activities and performance metrics to the sales manager
- Provide feedback to the management about customer needs and productimprovements.
- Prepare and submit all requireddocumentation accuratelyand on time.
- Ensure all sales activities comply with Amotech Africa’s SOPs
- Provide after-sales support to ensure customer retention and loyalty
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical/mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of Proven sales experience in theelectrical field or in the thermography space.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Thermography certification is an added advantage
- Strategic Thinker, and able to apply your skills to meet goals around Quota and KPI’s.
- Team player with an openness to feedback and a desire to grow
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Goal-oriented with a proven track record of achieving sales targets
- Strong social skills and enjoying selling and networking
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software
Payables Accountant
The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the company’s overall compliance with tax and statutory deductions, maintain strong relationships with OEMs and suppliers, ensure completeness and accuracy of expenses, and provide advisory on cost-cutting measures to improve financial efficiency. Responsibilities
- Timely preparation, filing, and payment of statutory deductions and taxes, including PAYE, NHIF, NSSF, NITA, WHT, VAT, and Import Duties.
- Ensuring compliance with Kenyan tax laws and regulations.
- Keeping up to date with tax policy changes and advising management on their implications.
- Receipt, verification, and input of supplier invoices into the accounting system.
- Ensuring supplier payments are processed accurately and on time.
- Reconciling supplier accounts and maintaining good working relationships with OEMs and other vendors.
- Reconciling intercompany accounts.
- Performing regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy between bank records and company financial statements.
- Investigating and resolving discrepancies in banking transactions.
- Ensuring proper documentation of all financial transactions for audit and compliance purposes.
- Ensuring completeness and accuracy of expenses, properly documented and aligned with budget allocations.
- Providing advisory on cost-cutting measures to optimize spending and improve financial efficiency.
- Assisting in conducting internal audits to enhance financial controls.
- Assisting in project costing and budget preparation to ensure accurate financial planning.
- Monitoring project expenses against budgets and report variances to management.
- Supporting management in financial forecasting for ongoing and upcoming projects.
- Maintaining accurate and organized tax records for audit and compliance purposes.
- Assisting in the preparation of financial reports related to tax and statutory obligations.
Minimum Qualifications
- A Bachelor of Commerce Accounting /Finance or related qualification
- Must have CPA Part II
- Preferably 3-5 Years’ Experience in a similar role in a busy Finance/Accounts Department
- Knowledgeableabout taxation mattersin Kenya and ability to liaise with KRA and other regulatory bodies to resolve tax matters.
- Good understanding of IFRSs
- Great attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Proficiencyin MS Office and relevantaccounting software.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in bank reconciliations and project costing.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Finance Intern
Amotech Africa is offering an exciting opportunity to apply your classroom knowledge to real-world financial operations under the guidance of experienced finance professionals. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Receivable Accountant and will be responsible for the following:
- Preparing payment vouchers for suppliers and other payments, maintaining accurate records.
- Reconciling supplier balances and ensuring they align with supplier statements.
- Assisting in filing statutory deductions to ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Supporting petty cash management and ensuring accurate transaction accounting.
- Assisting in bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Supporting in payables management, ensuring timely posting and payments.
- Participating in budgeting and forecasting activities to gain insight into financial planning.
- Assisting in project costing
- Ensuring proper documentation and filing of financial records for audit and compliance purposes.
- Assisting in tracking and processing employee expense requisitions and claims as per company policy.
- Contributing to improving financial processes and efficiency through data analysis and reporting.
- Adhering to the organization’s finance policies and procedures while performing all assigned duties.
Qualifications Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting/ CPA Part II, or a related field
- Preferably 3-6 months relevant experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Keen attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of Kenyan taxation laws and statutory deductions (e.g., PAYE, VAT, NSSF, NHIF, Withholding Tax).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software is an added advantage.
