Credit Assistant
Ref: ASSL/CA/24
Job purpose:
- This role is responsible in assisting credit section operations which include advising members on credit matters, appraisal and approval of loans, timely accounts reconciliations and loan collections
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Monitor clients loan performance and ensure compliance to the Society’s policy and regulatory guidelines
- Provide Data for the realization of assets and attachment of loans to guarantors
- Carry out remedial measures and active recoveries on defaulted loans
- Appraise member loans and businesses and provide recommendations
- Communicate and issue default notices in line with the Society’s policy.
- Appraise loans and carry out field visits for appraisal for business or non-check off loans
- Initiate and implement timely recovery procedures on defaulted loans
- Follow up on non-check off member’s deposit and loan payment.
- Advise members on payment plans and loan restructuring options.
- Oversee the attachment, recovery, and guarantor management of defaulter loans.
- Timely Listing and delisting of members on CRB
- Liaise with external debt collectors and auctioneers on defaulted loan recoveries.
- Generate and submit timely credit reports to aid decision making
- Preform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time
- Support the Credit Officer in Loan Processing.
- Prepare Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Credit reports
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time
Knowledge, experience, and qualifications required
Academic and Professional Qualifications/Memberships to professional bodies:
- Diploma in Credit Management /Co-operative Management / Banking / Finance or a businessrelated field.
- Minimum Professional Qualification of CPA Part 2 or CCP part 2 or ACCA Level 2
Experience Required:
- At least one years’ relevant experience in finance service industry
- Experience in the Sacco Sector will be an added advantage

ICT Assistant

Job purpose:
The purpose of this role is to support systems administrator in ensuring efficient ICT infrastructure that includes: adequate hardware, uninterrupted network, and software support with core responsibilities on help desk and server room management.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- keeping computer systems running smoothly and ensure users get the maximum support.
- Ensure the users get optimal benefit from ICT infrastructure.
- Ensure frequent maintenance of ICT infrastructure that includes computers and its accessories.
- Provide support in the installation and configuration of computer hardware, operating systems and applications
- Support in monitoring computer systems, networks and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
- Prepare periodical reports on ICT infrastructure to aid in decision making by the management.
- Support in the roll-out of new ICT applications and systems within the Sacco.
- Assist in setting up new users’ accounts and profiles and deal with password issues in case of any
- Assist in carrying out testing and evaluation of new technology and determine loopholes that may cost the Sacco
- Report any faults or malpractices to the Systems Administrator for further action.
- Liaise with all departments to performing backups and recovery of all data

Knowledge, experience and qualifications required

Audit and Compliance Assistant
Ref: ASSL/ACA/24
Job purpose:
- This is responsible for supporting the Internal Audit and Compliance Manager in execution of internal audit and compliance roles and responsibilities.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Prepare and implement audit programs and plans for specific audits in consultation with Internal Audit and Compliance Manager to ensure completion within agreed schedule.
- Conduct operational Audits, by examining records, accounting systems and procedures relating to operations and processes to ensure compliance with, regulatory guidelines, Sacco Policies and Procedures.
- Review financial audits to ensure accuracy and reliability of accounting records, safeguarding the Sacco assets, and reports on the reliability of the saccos’s financial statements.
- Participate in the development and testing of the Sacco’s internal control environment related to the initiation, authorization, recording, processing, reporting and disclosure process of financial transactions to verify the Sacco’s compliance with SASRA regulations.
- Developing and performing testing of Special Study audits, which are performed upon request to establish and report any unusual or suspicious activity.
- Developing and implementation of the annual audit work plan.
- Scheduling and executing audits and reviews as per the annual work plan.
- Conducting special reviews and advisories on emerging areas of system and operation audits.
- Preparation of reports to management and Board on compliance and monitoring reviews undertaken.
- Participates in the review of the Sacco’s operating system, security software tool, or IT processes and procedures.
- Support the Sacco’s external auditors in performing various audit procedures such as confirmations, creating reports, direct testing, etc. for their examinations
- Collect, analyze, interpret and recommends information which supports internal audit reports.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor
Knowledge, experience, and qualifications required
Academic and Professional Qualifications/Memberships to professional bodies:
- Diploma in Accounting/Finance/Financial risk management or relevant field
- Minimum professional qualification of CPA Part 2 (Intermediate Level) or ACCA Level 2
- Certifications in Chartered Financial Analyst, Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Information Systems Auditors is an added advantage.
Experience Required:
