Teller – Nairobi
Job Purpose
- Deliver timely, friendly & error-free services for all customers to ensure the fulfillment of customer requirements by providing an accurate financial transaction service (Cash Management, Security items, Cheques) as per the Bank’s policies and procedures.

Customer Service
- Provide high levels of customer service of Cash/ teller function by efficiently handling the process and by reducing customer waiting time and service time.
- Consistently meet and exceed service standards set for the customer services.
- Service Quality & Business Operations Control
- Adherence to all established Banks’ Policies, operating manuals, service quality standards and code of conduct for smooth workflow, high service quality and low level of operational risk
- To eliminate the risk of cash difference by ensuring compliance to the Bank’s cash control procedures as well as the Central Bank requirements.
Internal Process
- Checking notes & denominations to ensure accurate delivery of cash to customers.
- To perform the financial transactions (Cash Management, Security items, Cheques) timely & accurately.
- To facilitate and participate in any branch projects (Service Quality Programs, Process changes, Sales)
- Responsible of custodianship of securities as assigned by the Branch Manger
- To facilitate and participate in the achievement of branch sales target.
Training & Development
- Attend various training and learning programs to close the skill gaps and to ensure proper awareness about products and services, policies and procedures.
- Maintain effective relationship with supervisors and peers to ensure teamwork.
- All the above accountabilities include but not limited to any additional/new tasks or responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.

- Ability to apply Sharia principles on Bank’s transactions.

Officer – Sales and Service
Job Purpose
- Provide timely, friendly, and error-free services to all customers to meet their needs by achieving the assigned sales and service objectives/standards within the established time frame.
Key Responsibilities
Business Growth
- Ensure the achievement of targets assigned by the Branch manager by conducting phone calls, cross-selling and referrals.
- Migrate customer transactions from the branches to low-cost electronic channels to lower Branch Operational costs.
Customer Service
- Provide customers with competent, timely and error-free services in account opening and account management (Assets & Liability products, after sales etc.) to ensure high levels of service and customer satisfaction
- Consistently meet and exceed service standards set for the customer services.
- Guide customers regarding the right product to meet their needs and promote & cross-sell other Dubai Islamic Bank products & services to existing customers. Generate product leads from potential customers through interaction and dissemination of product and service information.
Service Quality & Business Operations Control
- Adherence to all established Bank’s policies, operating manuals, service quality standards and code of conduct for smooth workflow, high service quality and low level of operational risk.
- Compiles various MIS reports and report any discrepancies to the immediate supervisor to ensure accurate service delivery to customers.
Internal Process
- To ensure that all transactions are processed as per the compliance rules and regulations and maintain effective due diligence on the customers before proceeding with any facilities.
- To assist and participate in any branch projects (Service Quality Programs, Process changes, Sales…etc.).
- Follow up on various cases with all the concerned stakeholders such as customers, internal Bank’s departments to ensure 100% closing mandates.
- Responsible of custodianship of securities as assigned by the Branch Manger
Training & Development
- Attend various training and learning programs to close the skill gaps and to ensure proper awareness about DIBKL products.
- Maintain effective relationships with supervisors and peers and provide support whenever it is required.

Assistant Relationship Managers
Job Purpose
The incumbent will be responsible for growing liability products and cash management solutions for the Bank’s clientele. Additionally, they will work with the respective Branch Managers to proactively create and exploit business opportunities for sourcing liability to achieve business targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Identifying and developing new profitable business relationships through outdoor sales and new market exploitation.
- Develop and nurture relationships with the clients to ensure that the Bank maximizes the Business potential/wallet size of the customer.
- Develop more business from the existing clientele – i.e., increase share of wallet by cross selling all personal & Business banking products to all the existing and potential customers.
- Preparation of all reports required to monitor work progress – daily, weekly, and monthly.
- To proactively call customers and promptly respond to calls as per the SLA and ensuring high customer satisfaction.
- To prepare regular call reports and obtain & provide market, customer and competitor information and feedback to management to facilitate decision making.
- Continually recommend improvements and adaptations to existing systems, processes, and structures to ensure current and future viability of the relationships.
- Any additional roles may be assigned from time to time.
Job Requirements
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in business related field from a recognized university.
- Any professional qualification in Banking and Finance is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years’ banking experience in a similar role.
- Proven track record in business development especially liability growth.
- Excellent relationship management skills
- Strong business development and analytical skills.
- Good presentation skills
- Foundations and principles of Islamic finance/Banking will be an added advantage.
