Radio Presenters – BAHARI FM

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will among others be able to do the following;

  • Research, plan and develop on air content, ideas and concepts in line with the station strategy and values.
  • On air presentation/continuity and acting on feedback from listeners.
  • Write broadcasting reports and execute commercial logs
  • Music research, identify and propose music that should be incorporated into the station sound.
  • Carry out outside broadcasting/Road shows and attend functions on behalf of the station.

THE PERSON

  • Below 35 years of age
  • A bachelor’s degree preferably in the arts or mass communication training or Diploma from KIMC in Radio broadcast or broadcast journalism.
  • 3 years on- the- job experience in radio or TV broadcast
  • Fluent in spoken and written English, Swahili (Coastal) with a rich voice and an ear for music.
  • Have a proper understanding of the Coastal region and its people.
  • Able to work long hours/odd hours without supervision.
  • Must be social media savvy, innovative and creative
  • Demonstrate professional approach and appearance including enthusiasm, drive, commitment, honesty, trust and loyalty

The roles of the Assistant Traffic Controller Position will include the following: –

  • Scheduling all incoming approved sales orders.
  • Updating the daily sales performance report.
  • Reconciliation of flighting and placement reports with respective clients to ensure proper invoicing is done by finance department.
