Sales Assistant

Who We Are Looking For

The Sales Assistant is an astute and intuitive salesperson who is excellent at qualifying leads, and will support the team to catalyze and support the closing of deals. You are a team player who emulates Ikigai’s core values and strives to achieve our mission of curating workspaces that allow for a happier & healthier workforce. You already have an understanding of the market and our competitors, or are excited to learn this quickly! You have excellent communication skills, know how to strike up a conversation with anyone, can comfortably & adaptably ask questions to get the information you need to help solve someone’s workspace needs, and are confident making lead qualification decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Be an Ikigai brand ambassador

  • Be the first point of contact for sales leads coming through on email and the phone
  • Represent the Ikigai brand well by demonstrating friendliness, desire to understand a lead’s business & workspace needs, and helpfulness to determine if & how Ikigai can help solve the potential member’s need
  • Initiate the sales process with potential members over the phone and online, focusing on lead qualification

Independently qualify leads

  • Understand and follow Ikigai’s lead qualification approach and guidance to determine key information about the prospect’s business needs including budget, timeline, decision makers, etc.
  • Review & reply to all inbound sales leads within one working day to determine legitimacy and appropriately follow next steps for lead qualification
  • Identify high-potential deals and ensure quick action is taken
  • Qualify sales leads to determine business need, Ikigai offering(s) that are a fit, and other relevant information via phone call or online channels
  • Build Community Team and Events Teams’ sales pipelines, and reassign deals and contact owners as business needs are identified
  • Coordinate and schedule tours of our Spaces for potential members, event customers, and conference bookings
  • Provide a smooth handover to the appropriate Community and Events Team members after scheduling tours

Manage sales information using a CRM

  • Utilize Ikigai’s CRM to capture detailed information in real-time about sales leads and track progress
  • Ensure data is kept up to date throughout the stages of the sales cycle you’re involved with
  • Update, analyze and consolidate daily, weekly, and monthly reports that clearly highlight areas for management input & support, and actionable next steps
  • Share feedback promptly with the Sales & BD Manager should any issues arise with the CRM

Education and Experience

Education

  • A college graduate with a four-year degree preferred but not required

Experience and Requirements

  • Demonstrated understanding of and experience following the sales cycle from lead generation to closing
  • Experience with B2C sales required; B2B sales experience a plus but not necessary
  • Experience using CRM to track sales leads throughout the pipeline
  • Sales, business development, marketing, and/or customer service experience
  • Passion for and experience with small businesses and entrepreneurial communities a plus

Goals and Objectives

This job is a healthy mix of event planning, logistics and execution, event strategy, event partnership building and networking.   • Lead the Events and Community Management teams to achieve the following:
    • Create and execute an exciting and inspiring events and meetings strategy that makes Ikigai the go-to events space
    • Create a welcoming and collaborative community environment amongst our members, and build these relationships through events
    • Ensure that our event spaces (including meeting/conference facilities) are fully operational, and processes are running smoothly
    • Expand event space capabilities and quality

Key Responsibilities

Internal and External Events Management and Sales

  • Develop public-facing and community events that raise awareness of our spaces as event hubs, elevating the Ikigai and Roasted Truth brands in the market
  • Conceptualize innovative, unusual, meaningful, and impactful event ideas and maintain a pipeline of the same
  • Prepare and execute an Ikigai events and experiences strategy targeting Ikigai’s target market
  • Prepare and execute a marketing strategy for events and experiences and maintain a calendar for the same
  • Prepare and present events reports for Ikigai Teams, CEO, and Directors
  • Ensure that all events run smoothly specifically through forward planning and preparedness, and coordinate all activities during and after the event including assisting with set-up and close of events, including food, beverages, and furniture
  • Ensure that all event spaces are maintained throughout the year by reporting breakages or fixes required
  • Work with the Community Team to ensure consumables required for events and meetings are available and coordinate with event suppliers
  • Work with the Community Team on community initiatives designed to develop connections between members, including member events
  • Carefully collect and track event and meeting data and make data-driven decisions
  • Prepare event budgets and expense reports
  • Drive sales of all events and ensure high attendance and satisfaction of all attendees
  • Field event requests submitted through the Ikigai app, website, walk-ins, and tours
  • Maintain events visitor database

Conferencing Management

  • Develop a conferencing strategy for external members to enjoy Ikigai indoor and outdoor conferencing facilities
  • Coordinate all conferencing activity across locations to create an exceptional and consistent service offering
  • Ensure a friendly and professional experience for users of meeting spaces
  • Ensure that all meeting spaces are maintained throughout the year by reporting breakages or fixes required
  • Carefully collect and track meeting data and make data-driven decisions

Event Partnership Management

  • Research and reach out to potential partners for Ikigai, and draft proposals for follow-up conversations
  • Assess proposals shared by potential partners and present them to the Business Development Manager and CEO for consideration
  • Execute event partnerships based on the terms of engagement, including supporting marketing activities and partner relationship management

Administrative

  • Technical problem-solving when needed, including the ability to test and troubleshoot minor issues with the meeting room facilities, appliances, printers, and wireless networks among others

Education and Experience

Education
