VP Engineering
The VP Engineering Role
As the VP of Engineering, you will be responsible for leading and managing the technology team’s operations, including supervising team leads and managers, setting performance goals, and ensuring efficient operations. You will play a critical role in developing strategies to advance partnerships, technology platforms, and external relationships to drive business growth. Additionally, you will conduct technical reviews of products and solutions to evaluate their suitability and make informed decisions. Monitoring and managing hardware and software licenses, as well as projecting future needs, will be key in maintaining an optimized technology infrastructure. As a strategic leader, you will develop, track, and control annual capital and operating budgets for purchasing tools, staffing, and other operational needs for the team. Collaborating closely with other teams, you will contribute to the delivery of new and enhanced products. Finally, you will consistently track, analyze, and monitor technological performance metrics to identify areas of improvement and ensure the technology team stays ahead of industry trends.
Responsibilities
- Technology Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and vision for the engineering department, aligning it with the company’s goals and objectives.
- Team Management: Lead and mentor engineering leads and managers, setting performance goals, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the team.
- Strategic Partnerships and External Relationships: Develop strategies for advancing partnerships, technology platforms, and external relationships to support our company’s growth and innovation.
- Product Evaluation: Conduct technical reviews of products and solutions to evaluate their applicability, ensuring they meet our quality standards and business needs.
- Asset Management: Monitor the management of hardware and software licenses, forecast future needs, and manage infrastructure assets to meet internal financial targets effectively.
- Budget Management: Develop, track, and control the development of annual capital and operating budgets for purchasing tools, staffing, and ensuring effective operations within the engineering department.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with teams to deliver new and enhanced products that align with our business objectives.
- Performance Metrics: Track, analyze, and monitor technological performance metrics to ensure continuous improvement in our technology solutions and services.
Requirements:
- Software Scaling and Enterprise Grade: Proven experience in building and scaling software solutions to enterprise-grade levels.
- Fast-Paced and Agile Environment: Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced and agile development environment.
- Programming Languages: Proficiency in programming languages, including Java, Kotlin, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Python.
- Database Management: Experience in creating and maintaining both SQL and NoSQL databases, such as SQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
- Data Model Management: Experience in working with large databases and maintaining/updating complex data models.
- API and Service Development: Proficiency in building APIs and services using REST, SOAP, and other relevant technologies.
- Data Visualization: Experience using data visualization tools in a complex and fast-paced environment.
- Technical Partners and Consultants: Proven ability to manage technical partners and consultants effectively.
- Cloud Platform Expertise: Familiarity with cloud platforms, including Google Cloud Platform, AWS, and Azure.
- Domain Expertise: Domain expertise in healthcare and payments is an added bonus.

Senior Manager of Operations
The Role
As the Senior Manager of Operations, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing various aspects of our operations, including overseeing back office operations, fulfillment (encompassing warehousing, inventory management, last mile deliveries, and first mile operations), technical support, supplier management, and regulatory compliance. We’re seeking a dynamic leader with strong people skills, coupled with analytical and strategic acumen. Your ultimate goal will be to ensure seamless operations, providing our customers with the best possible experience.
Responsibilities
- Driving Efficiency in Logistics and Inventory management.
- Day to day logistics and supply chain management from supplier to customer
- Responsible for Inventory management
- Manage stock outs & Inventory cost management
- Coordinate technical support & service operations and find ways to ensure efficient customer support.
- Ensure product and service compliance with local and international laws.
- Manage contracts and manage relationships with customers, vendors, & partners; negotiating favorable payment terms.
- Implement efficient operational processes and standards
- Maintain and improve backend processing SLAs
- Regular reporting to management
Requirements
- Proven experience in an ops role preferably within a startup environment or similar.
- People leadership experience running a country-wide team.
- Familiarity with operational business functions including supply chain.
- Experience with ERP and CRM systems.
- High level competence with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and other basic work technologies.
