Treasury Analyst

Job Purpose
We are seeking a highly skilled Treasury Analyst to manage and execute our company’s treasury operations and controls. This role involves cash and liquidity management, corporate financial management, and financial risk management

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Credit Management:  Develop and manage professional relationships with banks and financial providers to ensure access to credit facilities and risk protection.  Implement a register for all organizational liabilities, such as loans, and ensure adherence to funding terms and amortize repayments as they fall due.
  • Cash and Cashflow Management: Manage the company’s bank accounts, including reconciliations and resolving discrepancies. Develop and maintain schedules of excess cash through short-term investments. Handle daily treasury transactions, including KRA payments, staff imprest, corporate credit cards, Directors’ allowances, payroll funding, interbank transfers, and FX transactions.
  • Compliance Management and Reporting: Prepare regular reports on cash flow, liquidity, and treasury activities for senior management. Conduct variance analysis and identify trends or issues in cash flow and liquidity.
  • Accounts Reconciliation:  Reconcile all cash books to bank statements on a weekly/monthly basis and ensure all reconciling items are addressed.
  • Macro Economic Environment Reviews: Leverage current trends to advise the business on their impact.
  • Stakeholder Management: Customize financial reports to the needs of different stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements

  • Academic Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field .
  • Professional Qualifications: Professional qualification in Finance or Accounting such as Certified Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (CPA-K) or equivalent .
  • Experience: At least 4 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Technical Competencies: Strong analytical problem-solving, cash flow management, accounting standards, ERP systems, financial reporting, risk assessment, business data analysis, and stakeholder management.
  • Behavioral Competencies: Critical thinking, effective communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation.

Tax Stamps & Reconciliation Clerk

Job Purpose
We are seeking Tax, Stamps and Materials Reconciliation Clerks who will be responsible for monitoring and reconciliation of tax stamps and raw materials according to the packaging schedules as well as packaging/ production process optimisation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Tax stamp and materials reconciliation

  • Handle all tax stamps in the packaging section.
  • Monitor, activate and reconcile the Digital Tax stamps.
  • Reconcile all packaging materials and finished products.
  • Prepare and conduct raw materials stock count.
  • Monitor packaging material performance through stock reconciliation to ensure zero variance.
  • Compile and update packaging shift reports and KPI’s as well as monitor key tax stamp and material reconciliations metrics.

TPM and Continuous Improvement

  • Support the implementation of the improvement activities and TPM ways of working. 

Minimum Requirements

  • Academic Qualifications: Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Procurement, Purchasing & Supply Management, or Business-related field
  • Experience: At least 3 years experience in a similar role within an FMCG environment. Experience in a raw material management in a similar role/ warehouse management. 
  • Technical Competencies: Knowledge in inventory management, attention to detail, basic Microsoft Office packages (e.g., Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Behavioural Competencies: Good communication skills, analytical skills, and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Job Purpose

We are seeking an experienced Operations Security Officer who will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the company’s assets, employees, and visitors. This role involves implementing and managing access control systems, monitoring surveillance equipment, responding to security incidents, and maintaining compliance with safety regulations and company policies. 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Policies: Support the Manager, Security in reviewing and updating security policies. Assist in developing and implementing procedures to enforce security policies and communicate them to all employees and stakeholders.
  • Access Control and Monitoring: Implement and manage access control systems to ensure only authorized personnel enter restricted areas. Monitor security cameras and alarm systems to detect and respond to unauthorized access or suspicious activities.
  • Compliance: Ensure all security operations comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Conduct regular safety drills and training sessions for security personnel and update security procedures to reflect best practices.
  • Reports: Support the Manager, Security in developing protocols for responding to security incidents. Ensure timely and accurate reporting of all security incidents and coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed.

  • Experience:  At least two years of experience in security management in a medium to large organization. Experience in coordinating with law enforcement agencies and regulatory bodies.

PC & I Specialist

Job Purpose
We are seeking a highly skilled Process and Control Improvement (P&CI) Specialist to support and advise KWAL management on Process & Control Management and Continuous Process Improvement (CPI). This role involves monitoring, testing, designing, and implementing process and control improvements to strengthen the internal control environment and ensure proper risk management, compliance, fraud management, and assurance policies aligned with the HEINEKEN CPI Framework. 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process & Control Management: Drive and implement improvements in KWAL processes to strengthen the internal control environment. Provide support and advice on Process and Control Management and CPI to drive continuous improvement.
  • Control Monitoring: Ensure business processes and controls are appropriately designed, implemented, and maintained. Track and monitor the progress of remediating activities.
  • Process Improvement: Embed a culture of process improvement and drive process and control improvements. Promote continuous improvement, benchmarking, and innovation. Build process improvement capabilities through training and development.
  • Risk Management: Lead the process of Risk Identification, Assessment, and Response. Implement a comprehensive Risk Management framework.
  • Fraud Management: Identify fraud risks and address them through strong process and control design and testing. Raise fraud awareness through promoting the ‘Speak-up’ procedures.
  • Compliance Management: Ensure processes and controls are designed, implemented, and operating in line with relevant policies and HEINEKEN Rules.

  • Academic Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field .

RO Plant Operator

Job Purpose
We are seeking an RO Plant Water Process Operator who will be responsible for monitoring, inspecting, and maintaining the (Reverse Osmosis) RO equipment and related intake systems. You will ensure the proper repair and maintenance of filtration, electric motor pumps, and valves to regulate the flow of raw water into the treatment plant. Your role will comply with food safety, OHS, legal, and regulatory requirements, aligning with Heineken standards governing the manufacturing of beverages 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • RO Plant Water Management: Operate and maintain the Reverse Osmosis Plant to produce optimum flow and quality of water for the manufacturing plant. Inspect treatment plant systems daily to ensure effective operations. Collect water samples at various stages of the RO process and perform routine water quality testing. Identify and troubleshoot operational issues affecting RO plant efficiency or water quality.
  • Compliance and Safety: Support safety programs and policies to safeguard the RO plant water process, personal safety, company property, and team member safety.
  • TPM and Continuous Improvement: Support the TPM way of working and the implementation of improvement activities.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other operators, maintenance technicians, and engineers to optimize system performance and troubleshoot issues.

Minimum Requirements

  • Academic Qualifications: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, RO Plant Operation and Maintenance, Food Science and Technology, Industrial Chemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, or a related field.
  • Professional Qualifications: Technical certifications or training in water treatment or RO operations are desirable.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Technical Competencies: Knowledge and understanding of reverse osmosis systems and operating principles, data analytical skills, basic mechanical and electrical knowledge, attention to detail, problem solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Behavioural Competencies: Good communication skills, analytical skills, employ logical reasoning and critical analysis, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
