Distribution Manager

PURPOSE STATEMENT

The job holder’s responsibility is to coordinate KEMSA’s optimal route planning, Internal fleet management, regional co-ordinators and dispatch activities for effective and timely distribution of Health Products and technologies to the customers as per approved delivery schedules.

Warehouse Manager

PURPOSE STATEMENT

The position is crucial in ensuring that commodities are received in full as per delivery notes, properly stored tomaintain form and quality, accurately documented while in custody and shipped/dispatched as per approved orders.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Human Resource Manager

PURPOSE STATEMENT

The job holder is responsible for providing leadership to the Human Resource department and developing the HR strategy and people agenda in line with the business strategy. He/she is tasked with formulating, planning, coordinating, monitoring, and implementing optimal resourcing capacity in the organisation and ensuring optimal employee engagement and retention to fulfil KEMSA’s mandate.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Lead in development of Human Resource Management strategies, policies, procedures and systems and ensure adherence to the same by all staff.
  • Lead workforce planning and manage the staff establishment and analyse staffing levels in the Authority and recommend proposals for succession planning and proper deployment of staff.

Advising the management on all issues related to customer service in the Authority.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Lead and implement customer service manual, policies, strategies and procedures to efficiently meet customer needs for enhanced customer satisfaction.
  • Develop a standard customer experience and lead its implementation at all points of sales.
  • Oversee the set up and operationalization of the call centre.

H/she will be responsible for sales and marketing of the commodities and sensitizing the County Health Teams in a given territorial region.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
The jobholder will have the following principal accountabilities:

  • To manage sales and marketing function.

Reporting to the ICT Manager, the Assistant ICT Manager will be charged with the responsibility of deputizing and supporting the Department on implementation of the ICT strategy.

Reporting to the Planning and Continuous Improvement Manager (supervisor’s job title), the Business Planning Officer will be charged with the responsibility of organizing, coordinate and control the strategic planning and implementation process, which entails preparation of strategic and business plans, monitoring their implementation and evaluation of plan achievements in terms of business performance, strategy and objectives of the strategic and business plans

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

PURPOSE STATEMENT

Reporting to the Regional Sales & Marketing Executive or the Head SSD, the County Sales and Marketing Officer will be responsible for managing the sales and marketing function within specified/allocated Counties or other customers of the Supplementary Services Division (SSD). He/she will be responsible for ensuring that KEMSA’s client requirements and requests within the specified Counties are met and also market and sell commodities to the allocated counties or SSD Customers. The positions will be based in various County Locations across the Country.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES.
The jobholder will have the following principal accountabilities:

  • To develop, implement and execute sales and marketing strategies within the County.
  • To liaise with the respective County Administration, Health teams or SSD Customers on medical supply matters to ensure continued supply of commodities.
  • To follow up on payments for sales already made (debt collection).

PURPOSE STATEMENT

Reporting to the Internal Audit and Risk Manager, the Internal Auditor will assist in planning, executing and reporting on the operational, financial, regulatory and compliance related audits of KEMSA. The Internal Audit Assistant will be responsible of providing assurance on internal controls, risk management and governance processes of the Authority and submit a report to the Internal Audit Manager & Internal Audit Officer.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
The jobholder will have the following principal accountabilities:

  • Assisting in implementing, developing and executing comprehensive audit programmes
  • Ensuring high professional standards with the guidelines of internal auditing standards (IPPF)
  • Reviewing and recommending improvements on internal control systems;
  • Facilitating risk assessments;
  • Assist in formulating and implementing risk based annual internal audit plans in liaison with the team members and supervisor;

Records Management Officer

PURPOSE STATEMENT

The Records Management Officer will manage the organization’s records in line with the requisite legal provisions, KEMSA requirements and the internationally recognized Records Management best practices as envisioned by the ISO:15489. The position holder will be in the Administration Department but shall be deployed in an appropriate area to support the records management function.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
The jobholder will have the following principal accountabilities:

  • Ensuring complete and accurate records that demonstrate integrity and authenticity for purposes of supporting business and admissibility during audits.
  • Assisting the organization by ensuring efficient contract administration between KEMSA and suppliers through sound records management and bring-ups.
  • Ensuring safe custody of KEMSA records thus ensuring compliance security and reliability of records and information therein at all times.
  • Digitization of records and establishing a functional Electronic Records Management System (ERMS).

PURPOSE STATEMENT

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Forklift Plant Operator will be charged with the responsibility of ensuring safe movement of commodities within the variousWarehouse locations.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

The jobholder will have the following principal accountabilities:

  • Ensuring the safety (of people, commodities and other equipment) and operation of the assigned Forklift and Reach Truck.
  • Facilitate the receipt of commodities at the Receipt Bay during unloading.
  • Facilitate the dispatch of commodities at the Dispatch Bay during distribution.
  • Facilitate the safe movement of commodities within the assigned Warehouse.
  • Facilitate movement of commodities during re-warehousing.
  • Facilitate the movement of commodities from the racks and other storage locations to the assigned areas.
  • Ensure that the Forklift/Reach Truck is serviceable and in good working condition.

  • Be in possession of a valid driving license Class B-C-E-G free from any endorsement.
  • Ability to work under minimum supervision.
