Infection Prevention & Control Officer
Job Purpose:
- The role holder is responsible for promoting exceptional health for all employees by facilitating an Employee Health Program covering disease prevention, detection, and training to promote safe working environment in line with hospital policies and prevailing regulations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Raise awareness and ensure that staff understand and implement the infection prevention practices in accordance to the National Infection Prevention guidelines at all times.
- Systematically collect, analyze and interprets health data in order to plan, implement, evaluate and disseminate appropriate health practices.
- Consult with the Health Care providers regarding patient placement and implementing standard precautions.
- Consult and advise managers and supervisors on PPE and occupational health and safety protocols.
- Organize and implement orientation program on National IPC guidelines for all new employees in all departments/Units.
- Investigates infection control problems/outbreaks and arrange follow-up care for patients exposed to infectious diseases.
- Facilitate development of policies and guidelines to guide infection control practices.
- Trains healthcare staff through instruction and dissemination of infection control practices and ensures a safe environment to patients, visitors and staff.
- Ensures availability of supplies/equipment needed to prevent infections.
- Work with all staff in clinical and non-clinical areas to ensure infection control practices, guidelines and data e.g. in waste management, housekeeping, food services, sterilization amongst others is monitored and followed to best practice.
- Monitoring the proper use of the standard precaution policy within the hospital.
- Preparing monthly statistical report for presentation on behalf of infection control committee/team.
- Perform any other duties assigned from time to time.
Requirements:
Academic qualifications :
- BSc in Public Health, Epidemiology, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Sciences or other medical related field from a recognized institution.
- Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in infection prevention and control.

Requirements:
Academic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Production, Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
- Proven experience in videography and photography, with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse work.

Perioperative Nurse in-charge
Job Purpose:
- The jobholder is responsible for overseeing all intraoperative, POHA, PACU, and cath lab nursing services as well as CSSD services within the Theatre department for the glory of God. The jobholder ensures that the level of care given is world-class
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the supervising, planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, and controlling nursing activities within the Theatre department, cath lab, and CSSD.
- Conduct monthly staff meetings, or as necessary, with all reporting staff to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Ensure adherence to professional and industry standards for nursing care, promoting competence, efficiency, and compassionate care delivery.
- Ensure that a clean and safe environment in the workplace is maintained to ensure the safety of patients and staff.

Echocardiographer
Job Purpose
- The role-holder is to provide echocardiography services within the respective department, in order that the patient/client receives quality care for the honour and glory of God in line with hospital policies and prevailing regulations.
Duties And Responsibiliyies:
- Review the patient’s medical record to obtain necessary clinical information, including patient history, lab results, and requisition orders.
- Obtain patient clinical information and compare requisition orders to ensure exam accuracy
- Communicate with patients and family members in a timely and thorough manner, enhancing the patient experience, promoting learning to understand procedures and symptoms, and supporting health care outcomes.
- Provide emergency care for patients using the basic support protocols until a primary or EMR team arrives.
- Communicate pertinent patient information to physicians and appropriate team members, including abnormal findings and changes in test results from previous examinations.
- Request work orders for maintenance of equipment to provide optimal working conditions of echocardiography and electrogram machines and equipment. Order and replace supplies used.
- Keep the exam area and procedure room stocked and clean.
- Train and provide educational support and mentorship to junior staff in basic echocardiography sills.
- Safeguard hospital’s and patients’ confidential information and property at all times.

Specific Skills.
- Use 2D, colour flow and spectral doppler to accurately evaluate the full spectrum of cardiac lesions, including, but not limited to, stenotic and regurgitant lesions, intracardiac shunts, and other hemodynamically significant lesions.
- Evaluate the hemodynamic significance of various cardiac disease states using all imaging modalities available per the department’s protocols.
- Calculate measurements of echocardiographic structures and Doppler signals, deriving the appropriate indices pertinent to each patient.
- Recognition of abnormal pathology that requires timely or urgent review by clinical teams.
- Informing the interpreting physician if an abnormal finding and/or a hemodynamically significant change is present from the previous examination. (Complex adult and/or congenital heart disease).
- Respond to emergency examinations in the department and the hospital setting, i.e., intensive care units, wards, emergency room, cardiac catheterization lab, and operating room.
- Operate ultrasound system and assist exercise physiologist and RN during dobutamine and stress echocardiography.
- Perform contrast administration and agitated saline bubble studies. When needed, initiate IV placement
- Prepare written impressions of tests performed and preliminary reports for both adult and pediatrics and indicate whether studies require supervisor inputs
- Accurately process data needed to complete the report template in the electronic reporting tool.
- Direct patients to their follow-up department and or prescribe necessary treatments.
- Process patients and submit final data.

Academic requirement
- Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery
- Preceptor ship / Certificate / Higher Diploma in Cardiac SonographyBLS and preferably ACLS Certified
- Have a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in a busy cardiac Hospital or related field
Internal Risk & Audit Manager
Job Summary:
- Reporting to both the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Audit & Risk Board Sub-Committee, the Internal Risk & Audit Manager will be responsible for undertaking continuous independent audit engagements and plans and internal control reviews, ensuring that the operations of the Hospital are carried out in line with the documented policies and procedures, comply with legal and statutory requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Formulation and implementation of all audit policies and work plans in the Hospital.
- Prepare and implement audit plans to ensure all risks in the auditable areas are fully addressed and periodic audits are completed within the agreed schedule as set out in the annual audit plan.
- Ensuring that previous year Audit recommendations are implemented, and errors are resolved properly
- Document result of Audit testing; develop recommendations and draft Audit reports based on Audit testing.
- Study and inspect budgets, financial records and statements and assisting the Hospital in preparing them.
- Develop appropriate risk assessment matrices to be used as a guide in identifying inherent risks
- and internal/management control processes in all areas.
- Risk evaluation: review reports on key control weaknesses, detect non-compliance with Hospital policies, guidelines and regulatory requirements and procedures and discuss with relevant departmental heads for action.
- Managing the departmental team through training and development to ensure optimal productivity and high value services.
- Any other duty as may be assigned by your supervisor.
Requirements:
Required Qualifications, Skills and Competencies:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (Accounting/Finance/Auditing options), Finance, Business Administration (Accounting/Finance Option) or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- CPA-K holder.
- Membership to Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) or relevant Professional Body.
- Possession of Computerized Information system Audit will be an added advantage.
- At least five years experience in the Internal Audit, in an audit firm or in a comparable and relevant position.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated professional competence and managerial capability.
- Proficiency in Computer (Ms Office) and Accounting Systems .

Chaplain
Job Purpose
- The role-holder provides spiritual guidance and counselling to patients, staff, and families through various activities, interventions and extended care through home visits and hospice ministry in line with hospital policies and prevailing regulation
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide spiritual guidance, pastoral care, and Bible-based counselling to patients, staff, nursing students, caretakers, and families.
- Conduct bedside ministry (evangelism) to reach patients individually with messages of hope and faith.
- Offer Bible study groups and chapel services to educate and inspire patients, families, and staff with Christian principles
- Provide crisis intervention by assisting families with difficult situations, administering baptisms, bereavement services, and end-of-life support.
- Deliver pastoral counselling through discussions, debriefing, and biblical advice to help individuals make informed decisions and find positive solutions.
- Extend care beyond the hospital walls by visiting patients and families in their homes through hospice care ministry, offering holistic support to all involved.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records using the Hospedia app for statistical analysis.
- Respond to night time requests for spiritual support, reinforcing existing chaplaincy services.
- Participate in rounds with doctors to understand patients’ conditions and provide spiritual support
- Conduct bed-to-bed visits within each ward to assess patient needs and offer spiritual care.
- Distribute Christian literature, including Bibles and tracts, to new converts and encourage on-going spiritual growth for both patients and caretakers

Requirements:
