Criteria for Agri-Preneur Selection – 582 Positions
Requirement for Appointment of:
- Must be between 20 – 45 years of Age with a national ID
- Must have a minimum KCSE – C- Plain
- Must be an active resident of the ward in which the profiling exercise is being undertaken
- Minimum academic qualification of a post-secondary qualifications from a recognized institution, preferably in Agricultural Sciences, Agribusiness, Statistics, Social Sciences, CommunityDevelopment & related disciplines
- Demonstrate some experience in agriculture or agribusiness & interactions with farmers.
- Must own a smart phone & be computer literate.
- Must be able to communicate in Kiswahili, English & the local dialect in their locality.
- Ability & willingness to remain personally involved & committed on full time basis.
- Strong past experience in community mobilization & training farmers on agricultural value chains
The agri-prenuers will undertake baseline and routine data collection
Assistant Ward-Based Supervisors – 21 Positions
For appointment as an Assistant Ward-Based Supervisors, a candidate must:
- Have a minimum academic qualification of a Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution preferably in Agricultural Sciences, Statistics, Community Development or any other related
- discipline.
- Be computer literate and able to use a tablet.
- Be able to communicate in Kiswahili/English the ability to converse in the Local Dialect will be an added advantage.
- Be identified from county government staff and should preferably be Frontline/field service providers.
- Be currently working in the target ward.
- Having participated in a similar exercise involving data collection will be an added advantage
These supervisors will assist the ward-based supervisor in providing oversight and supervise Agri-preneurs during baseline/routine data collection.
Ward-Based Supervisors – 35 Positions
For appointment as a Ward-Based Supervisors, a candidate must:
- Have minimum academic qualification of a Degree from a recognized University preferably in Agricultural Sciences, Statistics, Social Sciences,
- Community Development and any other related disciplines.
- Be computer literate and able to use a tablet.
- Be able to communicate in Kiswahili, English, and Local Dialect.
- Be identified from county government staff. Consideration will be given to the civil servants in the county.
- Be currently working in the target Ward
- Having participated in similar exercises and experience on extension and data collection will be an added advantage
These supervisors will supervise and backstop Assistant Ward-based supervisors during baseline/routine data collection
Senior Supervisors – 8 Positions
For appointment as a Senior Supervisor, a candidate must:
- Have minimum academic qualification of a Degree from a recognized University preferably in AgriculturalSciences, Statistics, Social Sciences, Community Development and any other related disciplines
- Be computer literate and able to use a tablet
- Be able to communicate in Kiswahili, and English.
- Be identified from county government staff. Consideration will be given tothe civil servants in the county.
- Be currently a senior County officer and subject matter specialist at Sub-county or County level;
- Having experience on personnel management, supervision, extension and data collection
- Having participated in similar exercises will be an added advantage
These supervisors will supervise and backstop Ward-based supervisors during the baseline/routine data collection.
