We are currently seeking to employ competent personnel to fill the following vacant positions:

Risk and Compliance Officer – Head Office, Nairobi

Job Summary:-

Responsible for developing and establishing systems, policies and procedures to identify, control, manage and measure enterprise-wide non/financial risk for the bank.

Key Responsibilities: –

  • Implement systems, policies and procedures to identify, control, manage and measure enterprise-wide non-financial risk for the bank.( including the quantification of management’s risk appetite through specific risk indicators, tolerance levels, and early warning signals to provide a quantitative and reliable basis for estimating the likelihood of risk events occurring,)
  • Ensure that enterprise-wide risk management policies, controls and procedures, are effectively implemented, disseminated and complied with across the bank.
  • Develop and compile pertinent analytical compliance Reports for head of risk and compliance to facilitate active risk oversight.
  • Ensure that the compliance framework is in accordance with regulator guidelines and in conformity with CBK Risk Management Guidelines
  • Ensuring audit and BCM compliance of the businesses units within the Bank in a timely manner in line with statutory regulations and internal policies and procedures. Conduct BIARA, review BCM strategy, train staff, ensure testing, revise plan as and when triggers change to business continuity plans
  • Act as the Banks Anti Money Laundering Officer, in charge of reporting suspicious transactions and preparation of regulatory AML reports
  • Advice banks units on compliance with know your customer requirements
  • Conduct loan reviews, provisions reviews etc to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Assist in institutionalization of self-assessments
  • Ability to conduct snap checks and compliance checks on banks areas of operations
  • Responsible for management of incident reporting, follow up on incidents till closure
  • Assist in the development of MI reports/Dashboard
  • Any other matter as may be assigned by the manager risk and compliance

Key Measurables: –

 Qualifications

  • Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, or finance related field. Master’s degree an added advantage.
  • Proven adequate knowledge of Core Banking system;
  • Professional banking qualification a plus
  • Have a minimum of three (3) years relevant work experience with a thorough understanding of banks activities.
  • Experience in banking industry (all-round banker) or from a financial institution.

The Direct Sales Representatives will contact potential customers; contact potential clients, and work to sell them products and services offered by the Bank. They will also be required to handle basic customer issues and escalate where and when necessary.

Key Responsibilities: – 

  • Actively sell and cross-sell the Bank’s products and services, targeting both new and existing customers to enhance the Bank’s market reach and product uptake.
  • Persuade clients to open accounts with the Bank, following up on dormant or unfunded accounts to encourage active usage and retention.
  • Maintain and update customer sales databases regularly, ensuring thorough follow-up on referrals to generate potential leads and convert them into clients.
  • Conduct market research during field assignments to gather valuable insights and feedback from customers, reporting findings to the sales managers / supervisors.
  • Actively participate in the promotion of new products and services, supporting marketing activations and campaigns to increase product visibility and customer engagement.
  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports, tracking prospective business pipelines to provide management with updated sales trends.
  • Conduct presentations to potential customers to effectively communicate the benefits of opening accounts with Premier Bank Kenya (PBK), aiming to secure new account openings.
  • Undertake any other duties assigned by management to support overall business objectives and goals.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Hold a Diploma in Sales & Marketing; A bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Public Relations preferred.
  • Professional Sales qualifications and/or experience a plus.
  • Have a minimum of one (1) year relevant work experience in a similar position with a proven result oriented track record.
  • Have strong sales, business development and customer service orientation/experience.
