Brand Manager
About the Role:
Reporting to the Director – Marketing and Customer Service, the position holder will build and raise brand awareness by working with the internal and external stakeholders to find out what makes our products unique and communicate it to the various audience and consumers.
The role holder will uncover consumer insights and deliver innovative brand campaigns that will improve consumer experience and drive business growth.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyze brand positioning and consumer insights.
- Translate brand strategies into actionable plans and go-to-market interventions.
- Continuously monitor brand performance internally and externally and proactively advice the business appropriately.
- Measure and report performance of all marketing campaigns and their returns on investment.
- Act as to go person on the brand performance and current and future action plans around the brands.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities and consumer markets trends.
- Manage new and ongoing marketing and advertising activities.
- Drive the brand pricing by understanding the competitive landscape, margin levels and drivers.
- Providing resourceful insights that will help the business in understanding the market through trade visits, liaison with on-ground teams, market intelligence seeking, analysis of sales and research data to determine product and market requirements for existing and future products.
- Scan the markets and identify opportunities that bring about product renovation, pricing strategy review, customer/channel specific needs.
- Identifying new opportunities for brand growth in relation to existing and new products, segments, geographies etc.
- Management of the allocated marketing budgets within agreed targets and aligned with customer advertising activities.
- Have oversight and clarity of the status of all brand assets e.g. marketing artworks, model usage rights, product labels repositories & approval status
- Work closely with the unit heads, product development and sales teams to stay abreast of operational capabilities and utilize them as marketing resources as appropriate.
- Monitoring competitor strategies, activities and feeding the information to the business leadership for tactical plans to grow the categories.
- Regular performance tracking, preferably weekly, and compilation of a report on the same which is circulated to the respective stakeholders.
- Close out all campaigns/promotions with reports that clearly articulates if the objectives have been met.
- Liaise with Procurement to ensure correct specification and ordering of merchandise and suppliers sourcing in accordance with budget and business needs while maximizing savings through effective negotiations with service providers.
The Person
- Degree in Marketing or related field.
- Post graduate qualification in marketing.
- Proven working experience as a Brand Manager with over 5 years’ experience preferably in FMCG.
- Proven ability to develop brand and marketing strategies and communication of the same to executives.
- Membership of relevant professional bodies e.g. MSK etc
- Data driven thinking and affinity for numbers.
- Strong analytical skills partnered with a creative mind.

Head of ICT
About the Role:
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Head of ICT is a senior management role and part of HACO’s executive leadership team.
The Head of ICT will oversee processes, and technologies within HACO IT organization to ensure they deliver outcomes that support the goals of the business. The job holder will play a key leadership role in the critical strategic, technical, and management initiatives that mitigate threats and drive business growth.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and Implement ICT Strategy in close collaboration with the Board and management.
- Advice the management on critical IT transformation strategies and champion its implementation
- Develop, track, and control the Company’s IT annual operating and capital budgets based on an excellent understanding of the business, the operating context, and supporting future business and IT needs.
- Championing the digital transformation strategy internally and externally to drive both employee and customer adoption.
- Design and oversee HACO’s technological infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and ensuring that full IT support services are consistently available e.g Cloud services, Internet & Network, Telephony, Microsoft & E-Banking System.
- Take responsibility for the development and implementation of HACO IT Security in accordance with the information management, cybersecurity protocols, and ensuring HACO meets any statutory requirements on IT and Cyber Security and Data Protection.
- Ensuring that the disaster recovery plans are in place and are tested regularly.
- Develop Innovative IT Projects that add value to the business.
- Establish and manage Software Development related projects directed towards strategic business and other organizational objectives.
- Prioritize mission-critical projects that establish business growth in an efficient manner.
- Lead in identification of potential IT related risks and proactively develop appropriate control measures.
- Ensure current systems users and vendors are compliant with relevant legislation and HACO IT policies.
- Document, manage and report on IT risks continually.
- Manage all ICT assets and systems.
- Build and maintain IT software and Hardware vendor relationships.
The Person
- Degree in Information Technology or related
- ICT Professional Certification on networking and/or Infrastructure management will be an added advantage.
- Certified Information systems Auditor or equivalent certification in IT security.
- At least 7 years’ relevant experience in a busy IT environment; 3 of which should be in an IT leadership position.
- Practical knowledge in ERP Systems (SAGE) – Installation, Backup and Recovery, Cloning and Administration, Cloud Computing.
- Practical knowledge in Windows Systems (Windows Server, Office 365and firewalls) and good knowledge in Desktop operating systems (Windows) as well as applications.
- Management of backup and disaster Recovery Plans
- Experience in IT project management and implementation.
- Experience in IT security and Managing IT risks.
