Assistant Manager, Agribusiness
Key Responsibilities:
- Build a quality Agribusiness asset portfolio as per the set targets within assigned region(s)
- Monitor and maintain portfolio quality within acceptable credit risk exposure (below 5%)
- Grow liability accounts as per the set retail targets.
- Build and maintain an effective new Sales Pipeline in the Agriculture sector.
- Effectively market the Agribusiness Products to new Prospects and increase KCB Agribusiness market share on both Assets and Liabilities significantly.
- Develop appropriate plans, project concepts and proposals for the Agriculture sector.
- Evaluate, Monitor and co-ordinate project Implementation on Agribusiness initiatives.
- Analyze the market trends in the Agribusiness sector and effectively position the company’s products to be competitive.
- Ensure preparation of comprehensive communication and support to Agribusiness products/ services.
- Undertake effective Agribusiness brand training to the business to increase product knowledge and uptake on the Agribusiness brands as well as champion Agribusiness activations promotional campaigns to achieve the set targets.
- Enterprise-wide Risk Management; -Adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Credit policy prudential guidelines, combating the Financing of Terrorism (CFT) and Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures to mitigate against losses, frauds, forgeries, and regulatory penalties.
Minimum Position Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university
- Professional Qualifications such as: CPA (K), CAF, CPS(K) will be an added advantage
- Master’s degree in business administration will be an added advantage
- 3 years of relevant experience is required
- 3 years of sales experience is essential
- 3 years of credit appraisal experience is essential
- 1 year of banking operations experience is desired
- 1 year of loan recovery experience will be an added advantage
- 1 year of farming enterprise appraisal experience will be an added advantage
Digital Financial Services Manager, Growth – International Francophone (DRC, RW, BR)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Revenue targets: responsible for ensuring that DFS revenues and profitability targets are met across and within the Francophone international business.
- Incubate and drive-up scaling, penetration, adoption, and embedment of new digital products / enhancements within and across the Francophone international business.
- Ensuring digital products distribution is achieved based on DFS route to market Agents, Merchants, Aggregators and Partners).
- Leverage the branch network and resources to drive penetration and scaling of new digital products / enhancements through embedded market activations and training engagements.
- Gather market information and deep insights to help commercialization teams develop and fine tune digital products and GTM solutions for the Francophone international business.
- Grow and sustain a healthy sales pipeline of merchants, value chain partners and customers to scale to value new and current digital products.
- Seek, chronicle, and deploy digital sales process innovation and best practice across and within all Francophone international businesses.
- Collaborate with international business partners (DFS group and country teams) to secure deeper penetration, advocacy, and championing of the delivery to value of digital products and services.
- Design and deploy innovative localized go to market strategies and tactics to quickly scale recruitment and conversion of digital product customers in line with business case for current and new digital products / enhancements.
- Ensure the various Country DFS, Retail, Corporate, CX and channels teams within the Francophone international business are trained and have all the tools of trade available for execution success.
MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- The suitable and preferred candidate should be meet the following minimum criteria:
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
- Professional qualifications in a marketing or sales related field is an added advantage.
- At least five (5) years’ relevant business development work experience, including specific experience in the following areas:
- Driving sales at country &/or multi-country level
- Sales management in the financial services or fintech sector
- Managing a sales or business development team
- Proficiency in Business French is essential
Senior Legal Counsel- Litigation
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- For the assigned portfolio of work, conduct legal research, collate evidence, preparewitnesses for pre-trial and hearing, develop concept papers, prepare legal briefs and opinions as well as develop effective defence strategies, arguments and testimony in preparation for legal proceedings of cases in liaison with external lawyers;
- Represent the Bank before any court or tribunal as a witness or to watch brief as necessary;
- Manage and measure external lawyers performance to ensure efficiency;
- Create legal awareness and providing advice on suitable action to avert and/or minimize litigation;
- Scrutinize legal fees and ensure they are raised in accordance with the Remuneration Order and Service Level Agreement;
- Update database of all non-debt recovery litigation to ensure the same is consistently up-to-date and provide reports as may be required.
- Render legal guidance to Retail branches on matters relating to bank policies, processes and procedures on all queries received with a view to mitigating legal and reputational risks;
