Nursing Officer – 3 Posts
Key Responsibilities
- Triage patients and prioritize attention accordingly.
- Collaborate with clinicians and fellow nurses during any emergency response.
- Evacuate referral cases to various destinations.
- Administering the prescribed medications/injections.
- Conduct all other nursing procedures and maintain sensitivity to patient’s needs.
- Document procedures and other patient details as required.
- Inspect the facility and maintain high levels of hygiene and safety standards.
- Ensure monthly reports are submitted to relevant authorities.
- Must be able to follow work regulations in keeping with Kabarak University quality policy.
- Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for staff and their families.
- Any other duty assigned from time to time by the immediate supervisor.
Qualifications and skills
- Kenya registered community health nurse with a minimum of a Diploma in Community Health Nursing from a recognized institution.
- At least three (3) years’ work experience.
- Valid practice license and certificate from the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK).
- Certificate of good conduct.
- Must be willing to work extra hours.
- Must be able to work under minimal supervision.
- Must be a good team player.
- Must be able to engage with young adults and successfully win their confidence.
- Proficiency in computer applications.
- Previous work experience in a learning institution will be an added advantage.
