Finance and Administration Intern
Opportunity Summary
Youth Agenda is looking for a Finance and Admin Intern who is expected to provide finance and administrative support to the Organisation. The intern will have the following main duties:
- Assisting the Finance and Admin Assistant in running the Procurement office and handling all procurement tasks as assigned.
- Assisting the Finance and Admin Assistant to fully maintain stock control records by organizing and maintaining documents of supplies received against requisitions from user departments.
- Assisting the Finance and Admin Assistant to manage the quotation process and expediting the delivery of goods and services.
- Assisting in supplier pre-qualification and analysis of bids on both open and tendered procurement procedures.
- Assist in periodic physical inventory counts of YAA property.
- Assist in the preparation of purchase requisitions for office supplies for approval by the Finance and Admin Assistant.
- Receive, sign, and record all YAA-delivered documents from courier service providers, vendors, partners, etc. for onward transmission to the right recipients.
- Monitoring the admin mailbox (info@youthagenda.org) and replying to standard administration queries.
- Providing administrative support to the organization of conferences, workshops, seminars, and other events; and preparing materials for meetings such as agendas, hand-outs, signing sheets, binders, etc.
- Assisting the Finance and Admin Assistant in making suitable and efficient travel arrangements for field staff and undertaking all associated administration & management of local travel schedules as assigned.
Personal Specification
- Candidates must have a degree or diploma in any of the following disciplines: Accounting, Public Administration, Business Administration, Economics, Management, Finance, or a related field.
- Fluent written and spoken English is required.
- Personal initiative: ability to work both independently and in a team.
- Commitment, determination, reliability, and a high degree of personal integrity &discretion
- Candidates must have excellent command and use of computer software.
- Ability to convey information clearly and concisely to others.
Monitoring and Evaluation Intern
Youth Agenda is looking for a Monitoring and Evaluation Intern who is expected to provide M&E support to the Organisation. The intern will have the following main duties:
- Support the design and implementation of monitoring and evaluation frameworks for YAA programs and projects.
- Support data collection, analysis, and reporting activities, including surveys, interviews, and focus group discussions.
- Support the development of data collection tools, including questionnaires, interview guides, and data entry templates.
- Support the management of databases and data repositories, ensuring data integrity and security.
- Collaborate with program teams to track project progress, identify challenges, and develop recommendations for program improvement.
- Assist in the preparation of monitoring and evaluation reports, summaries, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Participate in monitoring and evaluation capacity-building activities for YAA staff and partners.
- Contribute to knowledge management and learning initiatives within the organization, including the documentation of best practices and lessons learned.
