Senior Manager Regulatory Reporting and Business Partner

Job Purpose Statement

The role is responsible for ensuring Preparation, review and submission of Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) reports and publications, Capital Markets Authority (CMA) reports, Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA), Kenya deposit insurance corporation (KDIC) as required by the different stakeholders. Additionally, this role manages the regulatory engagements to maintain a good working relationship with the regulator as far as financial reporting is concerned

The role supports the Group Head of Reporting & Planning through enhancing the quality of financial discipline, planning, controls, regulatory reporting, financial reporting, provision of financial advice and support to the subsidiaries CEO’s and their leadership teams by preparation of quality and timely reports. This role provides day-to-day business partnership to Kenya subsidiaries.

The role is responsible for supporting   the Group Head of Reporting & Planning effectively manage the systems that produce financial information for Kenyan subsidiaries (Capital, Brokerage, Insurance and Leasing)

The role is also responsible for staff management within the department by putting in place proper leave management schedules, identification of staff training needs and performance management process, which includes setting smart targets, semi-and annual reviews and adequate resourcing.

The role participates in implementation and entrenchment of financial controls culture, policies, tools, processes and procedures that ensure internal efficient and effective preparation and dissemination of financial information for management decision making. The role cuts across financial control, financial planning and regulatory reporting for the Kenyan subsidiaries

Ideal Job Specifications

Academic:

  • University degree in business related studies or equivalent.
  • MBA is an added advantage.

Professional:

  • CPA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent professional qualification

Desired work experience:

  • Ten years’ post-qualification (accounting) experience in a medium to large corporate organization.
  • Five years’ work experience in middle management role.
  • People management experience
  • Practical experience in use of relevant MS Office applications.
  • Competence in the use of SAP, SAP BODs, SAP BPC and T24.

Senior Manager, CRM Systems

Job Purpose Statement

The Senior Manager, CRM Systems role is to plan, organize, and manage staff and overall operations that facilitate the stable operation of the bank’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, Feedback Systems, Policy Hub and other peripheral applications and system integrations. In collaboration with external vendors, system experts and information security experts the Senior Manager, CRM Systems will schedule and direct activities to resolve software and service problems within the CRM and related platforms in a timely and accurate fashion.

Ideal Job Specifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science /Information Technology – Minimum 2nd Upper Class honours.
  • Minimum 7 years working experience in a busy IT environment with a hands-on role in implementing and development Workflows & Business Automation Systems e.g.  Customer Relationships Management Systems (CMRM), MS SharePoint and MS Power Platform.
  • 2-3 years management experience.
  • Certified in MS Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement and/or Power Platform.
  • Experienced in Microsoft Dynamic CRM, Microsoft SQL Server, and Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate & Power BI) and C #.Net & ASP.net Web development.
  • Experience of working in the IT function within a banking environment will be an advantage.
  • Experienced with platform architectures (e.g. client-server, n-tier, thin client)
  • Proficient with developing, deploying, customizing and integrating Microsoft Dynamics CRM, MS SharePoint and MS Power Platform
  • Demonstrated proficiency in understanding and implementing business Process Automation workflows and processes
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using the either the CRM SDK or plugin platforms.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft .NET 3.5+ development using C#
  • Experience in developing integration services using API (SOAP & REST) and  MS SSIS
  • Experience with source control management systems and continuous integration/deployment environments

Senior Infrastructure Architect

Job Purpose Statement

The senior Infrastructure Architect is responsible for evaluating business requirements by leveraging software, data, and infrastructure. The role acts as a bridge and is responsible for mapping these requirements into technology solutions.

The role focuses on applying the different elements of business, information, and technology in solving problems while maximizing the return on technology investment. The architect identifies reviews, and proposes the various building blocks that will actively lead the technical vision to success.

He/She reviews deviations from specifications and ensures that relevant technical strategies, policies, standards, and practices are applied correctly.

Ideal Job Specifications

  • Degree in Science/computer science/Engineering/Business related degree from a reputable institution. A master’s degree in Information Technology or an MBA will be an added advantage.
  • Training and certification in IT Service Management, e.g., ITIL, COBIT, ISO
  • IT Architecture Training and Certification, e.g., TOGAF
  • Infrastructure and Cloud related certification and training
  • Business Continuity training
  • 8+ years’ experience in IT applications, infrastructure or security operations, and management
  • 4+ years professional experience in IT solution architecture, deployment of APIs, cloud, Docker, and Kubernetes experience is desirable
  • Solid grasp of design patterns and principles, particularly Object-Oriented Design (OOD), Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), Microservice Architecture (MSA), and Event-Driven Architecture (EDA).
  • Experience in systems; Core Banking Systems and integrations to Mobile money transfer, USSD / SMS, Omni Channel, Internet Banking, BPM, ERP, CRM, and other systems in a financial services ecosystem are a MUST.
  • possesses a strong customer service attitude and excellent communication skills and exhibits a passion for learning and continuous improvement.
  • The architect participates in the stewardship of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Microservices Architecture (MSA), and Application Programming Interface (APIs) artifacts and definitions.
