Job Specifications
- Ensuring the answer scripts are received, sorted, and after administration of examination/assessment;
- Ensuring that answer scripts and other related examination/assessment materials are dispatched and returned to and from marking centres;
- Ensuring the processing examinations of examination centre bills and examiners claims in liaison with Finance department;
- Ensuring preparation of schedules of appointment and promotion of senior examiners are done within each examination/assessment;
- Ensuring the preparation of documents required for the administration of each examination/assessment for use by field administration personnel;
- Ensuring that programs and draft budget estimates are prepared for briefing and sensitization of field officers and examiners;
- Ensuring that lists of applications from centres requesting to be used as marking centres are prepared;
- Ensuring questionnaires and related documents for inspection of marking centres are prepared;
- Ensuring preparation of programs, budgets, and materials for training examiners;
- Ensuring that the list of successful examiners is prepared for uploading to the examiners’ database and responding to the unsuccessful examiners.
- Ensuring programs, budgets, relevant documents, and stationery are prepared to facilitate the marking of examinations;
- Ensures that the marking exercise is undertaken at the marking centres as per the approved programs;
- Supervising and coordinating the day-to-day activities in the department;
- Ensuring the implementation of the corruption prevention plan, Quality Management Systems, risk management registers, and appraising staff within the department;
- Ensuring the Preparation, monitoring, and implementation of the annual work plans, leave roasters, and preparing reports upon completion of each activity done in the department.
Person Specifications
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:
- At least twelve (12) years of cumulative relevant work experience, four (4) of which should have served at management level;
- Masters Degree in Education or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
- Bachelors Degree in Education from a recognized institution;
- OR Bachelors Degree in a relevant discipline plus a Post Graduate Diploma in Education from a recognized institution;
- Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
- Demonstrated competence and merit in work performance;
- Proficiency in computer applications;
- Fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution (to be submitted by the successful candidate)

Senior Records Management Officer: KNEC Grade 6 (1 POST)
Job Specifications
The duties and responsibilities of the officer will entail:
- Assisting in developing and ensuring implementation of records management policies and procedures;
- Ensuring the security of files and information;
- Ensuring proper handling of documents, pending correspondences, and bring-ups;
- Preparing disposal schedules following relevant government laws and regulations;
- Ensuring classification and indexing of records;
- Ensuring effective mail management;
- Maintaining, verifying, and evaluating existing records management systems.
Person Specifications
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:
- At least six (6) years of cumulative relevant work experience;
- Bachelors Degree in any of the following disciplines: Information Science Management, Records Management, Social Sciences or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
- Supervisory Skills course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized Institution;
- Demonstrated merit in work performance;
- Proficiency in computer application;
- Fulfil the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution (to be submitted by the successful candidate)
