Regional Human Resource Business Partner (Nyanza/Western)
Job Purpose:
This role enables the Regional General Manager to align the Region’s people strategy with its business strategy. Together with line managers, the HRBP works on ensuring the people priorities are executed whilst driving value and delivering business results.
The HR Business Partner is the key contact person for HR matters in the region. S/He will provide guidance and HR policy & process support and execution management, to ensure a good employee and manager experience across the life cycle of the employee in areas. The HRBP ensures the collaboration of the Regional Team, Segments, Sectors and Subject Matter Experts in delivering needs for the region.

- Workforce Plan execution, Recruitment and Onboarding in coordination with the HR centers of expertise and within existing policy.

Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business, Finance, Social Sciences or a related field (Master’s degree an added advantage) from a recognized University or College.
- Ideally 3 – 5 years’ work experience within the HR function with HR Service Delivery and HR Advisor /Business Partner experience
- Work experience in the Banking sector specifically supporting within a Retail/Branch network is preferred.
- Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management
- Should be a Member of Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM Kenya) in good standing.

Human Resource Business Partner
Job Purpose:
This role helps align the business unit’s people strategy with its business strategy. Together with line managers and other stakeholders, the HR Business Partner (HRBP) works on setting priorities, driving value, and delivering business results.
The HR Business Partner is the key contact person for HR matters in the units supported. She /He will provide guidance and HR policy & process support and execution management, to ensure a good employee and manager experience across the life cycle of the employee in areas assigned.
Key Accountabilities
- HR Single point of contact to the business they support, providing HR advise and building managers’ capability to effectively manage their teams.
- Helping build and maintain the strong organizational culture, as well as continuously improving the employee experience.
- Participate in the acquisition of talent by ensuring the right job profiles conducting interviews and onboarding.
- Communication and management of the Bank’s change initiatives as “change catalysts” within the business unit.
- Act as counsellors, coaches and mentors to staff and line managers on HR related matters.
- To coordinate and influence the development of a performance culture through effective implementation of integrated performance management with appropriate measures of success.
- Co-ordinate and at times administer the training and development projects and plans (activities include training needs assessments and mitigations)
- To support Business in aligning business and people strategies, directions, and objectives through appropriate advice/ interventions (i.e. aligning role profiles to emerging strategies, reviewing the impact of any process re-engineering initiatives on staffing)
- Leading a team of Business Partners and HR Advisors where applicable
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum – Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business, Finance, Social Sciences, or a related field from a recognized University or College. (Master’s degree an added advantage)
- Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management.
- A current member of Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM K) or similar reputable HR professional body
- At least 7 – 10 years in a HR Relationship Management position with experience in other core areas of HR (Talent acquisition, Employee relations, Reward appreciation, Talent management, Learning & Development, HR Services), and at least 3 years team leadership experience.
- Knowledge and/or experience with national and regional labor law, and tax and social security regulations
