Senior Office Administrator – 1 Post

Job Description.

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:

  • Typing drafts and manuscripts of official documents such as letters, memos and reports;
  • Managing e-office activities such as e-mails;
  • Operating office machines such as photocopiers, scanners. shredders and facsimile machine;
  • Enhance and maintain the reputation of the department by offering friendly reception to stakeholders:
  • Handling telephone calls and appointments;
  • Receiving and dispatching notices of meetings and minutes to relevant parties:
  • Supervising the Assistant Office Administrators;
  • Maintaining and updating the register and contacts of stakeholders; and

Job Specification.
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

  • Served in the grade of Senior Office Administrator Il/Personal Secretary |, KIMC Grade 7 or in a comparable position in the Public Service or Private Sector for a minimum period of three (3) years;
  • Degree in Office Management Administration Technology, Business Administration and Office Management or equivalent qualifications from a recognized Institution;
  • Be a registered member of Kenya National Secretaries Association (REMASA)
  • Certificate of Supervisory Course attendance from a recognized Institution lasting not less than two (2) weeks;
  • Certificate in computer application skills; and

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail;

  • Implementing hospitality policies, strategies, programmes and procedures;
