F&B Manager

Location:  SAFARI BEACH HOTEL (along Beach Road Diani)

Reports to  :  OPERATIONS MANAGER

Oversees: Restaurant Supervisors, Bartenders, Mixologists, Baristas, Wait Staff, Glass hands, Runners, and casuals.

Job Summary

Safari Beach Hotel in Diani, South Coast is looking to recruit a seasoned F&B Manager to oversee the smooth operations of our restaurant and bar outlets.

Salary Range is between Ksh. 80,000-100,000/-.

Responsibilities include

  • Manage and organize the outlet staff as per desired job expectations.
  • Develop, and implement F&B  policies and procedures
  • Conduct routine staff briefings in respect of operational issues. 
  • Prepare departmental budgets and derive sales targets for the staffs.
  • Monitor and verify accuracy of orders, bills and payments via POS system.
  • Compile, review and circulate timely operational reports to the respective persons.
  • Assist customers in all inquiries in connection with hotel services/facilities.
  • Offer professional guidance and resolution for guest complaints and staff conflicts.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve uptake of F&B products by clients.
  • Proactively seeks out business for events, banquets and function hosting for the Hotel.
  • Provide HR  administrative support in respect to duty allocation, shift planning, leave/off planning
  • Maintain sanitary conditions of the bars and restaurants and ensure food safety practices by all staff.
  • Ensure staff compliance to statutory regulations especially to health certifications
  • Requisition and receive operational supplies whilst maintaining an accurate inventory.
  • Reporting all maintenance problems to the repairs department and ensure follow up.
  • Closely monitor food orders, portion sizes, garnishing and presentation.
  • Able to delegate tasks where needed.
  • Perform any other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Preferred tertiary training in Hotel/F&B operations with professional certification to match.
  • A minimum 4-6 years Managerial / leadership posting in a busy hospitality establishment with multiple outlets.
  • Good Communication with excellent presentation & customer service skills.
  • Computer literacy and working knowledge of POS systems.
  • Must be a team player. 
  • A self-starter, go getter, fast thinker and able to multi-task and oversee multiple outlets.
  • Good composure and temperament able to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Either be a resident of Diani or willing to relocate.
  • Available to commence duty from August 2024.

Reports to :  OPERATIONS COORDINATOR

Oversees   :  Room Stewards, Cleaners and Laundry Attendants

Job Summary

Safari Beach Hotel in Diani, South Coast is looking to recruit an experienced Housekeeping Manager able to organize their team and implement benchmarked standards to ensure hygiene is maintained in the Hotel Facilities.

Salary Range is between Ksh. 50,000-60,000/-.

Responsibilities include

  • Offer administrative support by resource planning, staff attendance reporting, allocating staff duties and discipline management.
  • Implement room/cleaning checklists to facilitate guest room/ facility inspection after cleaning.
  • To resolve guest room complaints and escalate to relevant department for corrective action.
  • To maintain housekeeping supplies and inventory by minimizing wastage.
  • To consistently liaise with the reception to confirm booked rooms, check outs, day occupancies and ready to sell rooms.
  • Make timely requisitions for purchase of all housekeeping supplies and linen.
  • Reports and safeguards lost & found property in line with Company procedures.
  • Maintains proper housekeeping reports and ledgers and circulates the same to the relevant departments.
  • Performs daily room checks to maintain rooming standards and follow up on repairs where needed.
  • Represent the housekeeping department at the management meetings.
  • Continuously trains staff and keeps in the know on changing trends in the Hotel Industry.

Qualifications

  • A minimum 4-6 years Managerial / leadership posting in a busy hospitality establishment.
  • A Degree in Hotel Management or  a Diploma Housekeeping & Laundry Techniques or its equivalent, from a recognized institution.
  • Computer literacy i.e.  MS Office Suite
  • Highly organized and able to delegate /multi task.
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong people management skills.
  • Available to commence duty from July 2024.
