Project Coordinator

  • The Project Coordinator will be expected to perform a variety of tasks with multiple reporting requiring health diplomatic skills, understand multiple country travel, visa and work permit requirements for consultants’ deployment. 

Project Coordinator Responsibilities: 

  • Coordinate internal processes, resources, WHO and multiple country requests and needs for the flawless execution of recruitment and rapid deployment of multiple consultants.  
  • Ensure that all recruitments and deployments are undertaken and delivered on-time, within scope and with adequate logistical, per diem and other monetary support. 
  • Assist in the review of progress against the scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal departments and WHO/AFRO and ensuring feasibility of agree next steps. 
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation for the relevant country consultant recruited and deployed with rapid response. 
  • Develop a detailed plan to monitor and track progress on recruitment and deployment of consultants.  
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques. 
  • Support and provide adequate guidance and information to the Project Assistant on travel plans, and arrangements, expenses and reimbursements, insurance, visa etc.
  • Profile by Country and perform risk management to minimize potential risks for consultants and escalate as necessary. 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Project Lead and WHO/AFRO Point of Contact Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs. 

Project Coordinator Requirements: 

  • 3- 5 years of proven working experience in project coordination 
  • Team management and monitoring  
  • Performance management and processing performance-based remuneration 
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Sound organizational skills and ability to multi-task. 
  • Computer competency in use of all Microsoft Office 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field of study,
  • Experience with project management software tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Import data from various sources
  • Program quality control checks for source data and reporting data issues
  • Interpret project level requirements and develop programming specifications
  • Write programming code following established Good Programming Practices
  • Program SDTM and ADaM datasets
  • Program to create statistical analysis tables, listing and figures
  • Validate datasets and all statistical outputs per prescribed gate checks
  • Communicate with internal and client statisticians and clinical team members to ensure appropriate understanding of requirements and timelines
  • Use and promote the use of established standards, SOPs, and standard methodologies
  • Export data and clinical study report materials
  • Provide training and mentoring to team members and department staff

THE PERSON

  • We know that meaningful results require not only the right approach, but also the right people. Candidates should possess a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Mathematics, or Computer Science, and have a strong educational or practical evidence in programming.

Key required skills include:

  • Home Based/Remote
  • 5+ experience in Statistical Programmer role from CRO/Pharma with ADaM/SDTM/ TLFs
  • Excellent accuracy, attention to detail, problem solving, organizational as well as interpersonal communication.
  • In light of the above, candidates for the roles should exhibit the following skills and competencies:
  • Experience in programming in SAS within the CRO/Pharma/Biotech/Healthcare industries
  • Knowledge of statistics and exhibit routine and occasionally complex analytical skills
  • A focus on quality, accuracy, and completeness of work activities 
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A good understanding of Good Clinical Practice and ICH guidelines
