Human Resource Officer
Key roles and Responsibilities
- Coordinate end to end recruiting process and support recruiting efforts by guiding hiring on best practices in recruitment and selection to attract key talent in liaison with HR Manager
- Coordinate the performance management cycle from objectives setting to performance monitoring and year-end review for the Hospital, ensuring timely submission of reports and their analysis within the hospital.
- Promote learning and development culture and coordinate the end-to-end training and development process for staff including planning and logistics support.
- Coordinate General HR operational processes including leave balances, policy reviews, improved employe experience,
- communication, filling, and documentation and updating the HRIS.
- Assist with labour relations initiatives through ensuring compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreements as well as the company rules and regulations in the Hospital;
- Provide support and advice on staff welfare matters related to staff medical, DOSH, Team building, HR activities and
- programs and people-related and issues facing the Hospital;
- Prepare the human resource forecasts for the departments in consultation the Heads of Departments in scoping and
- justification of proposed and existing roles in line with the business strategy by recommending optimal staff establishment;
- Support compliance with policies with the labour laws requirements and procedures and implementation of resolutions for audit findings
- Initiate the separation process and lead the exit of the employees from the Hospital;
- Support in developing payroll advice reports.
- Support CBA negotiations and implementations as well as general employee relations.
- Develop monthly HR reports e.g., staff cost, staff establishment, attrition data, etc.
- Advise Heads of Departments and line managers on appropriate disciplinary process to determine the most prudent approach;
- Hold regular meetings with Head of Departments and line managers to establish needs as relates to all HR matters including staffing needs, succession planning, attrition, etc.
- Ensure that staff have relevant professional licenses and that all other documentation relating to their profession are updated and valid to ensure compliance with required standards and regulatory needs, and
- Any other responsibilities that may be assigned to the job holder by the supervisor from time to time
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human resource management, Social Sciences, Business Administration or any other businessrelated field from a recognized institution.
- Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) qualifications
- Holder of Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management is an added advantage.
- Must be registered in good standing with a valid practicing license from the Institute of Human Resources Management
- (IHRM).
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a HR generalist with 2 year’s at supervisory level.
Critical Care Nursing Lecturer – Tenwek Hospital School Of Health Sciences
Roles & Responsibilities
- To be familiar with the Nursing Council procedures and routines as stated by the Nursing Procedure
- Manual and Placement Manuals and Tenwek CCN & KRCHN Curriculum
- Teach theory and procedures in each block as assigned by the HOD Nursing/Principal
- Ensure ongoing evaluation of students through written exams and assignments in block
- Assist students in research projects as assigned by HOD Nursing/Principal Tutor
- Participate in scheduled and called College meetings
- Provide spiritual help for students through block devotions, discipleship groups and individual counselling as needed

Radio-Sonographer
Key roles and Responsibilities
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
- Patient preparation before ultrasound procedure.
- Performing all ultrasound procedures including bedside sonography to our patients.
- Generate and archive images and accurate patient reports.
- Taking part in routine inspection of equipment and quality assurance procedures, reporting any deficiencies or
- malfunction to the appropriate manager.
- Take responsibility for keeping the department in general and specifically the work area, clean, tidy and safe.
- Ensuring effective and economic use of resources and report all occurrences of defects which may affect health and safety
- of patients and hospital personnel.
- Safeguarding hospital equipment and patient’s property from damage, wastage or loss.
- Safeguarding all confidential information concerning patients and their treatment.
- Keeping up-to-date with current techniques and developments in sonography.
- Supervise the activities of trainee radiographers in the department.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Higher Diploma in Ultrasound
- Diploma in Medical Imaging Sciences
- At least two (2) years working experience in a busy facility
- Registered and with a valid license from Kenya Nuclear Regulatory Authority
- Member of the Society of Radiography in Kenya (SORK)

Neurosurgical Clinical Officer
Responsibilities:
- Be intimately involved in the building handover from the building contractor and various system suppliers. Learn all aspects of design, maintenance, warranties, and service contracts related to mechanical systems.
- Installation, operation, and maintenance of mechanical systems within the hospital, including but not limited to HVAC, plumbing, and water treatment systems.
- Conduct regular inspections and assessments of mechanical systems to identify any issues or potential problems and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans to minimize equipment downtime and ensure optimal system performance.
- Collaborate with vendors to troubleshoot malfunctions of various mechanical equipment.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance in the procurement process for mechanical equipment and systems, including preparing technical specifications and evaluating bids.
- Coordinate with other technical departments to ensure seamless integration and operation of mechanical systems with other hospital functions.
- Assist in the execution of energy conservation initiatives to promote sustainability and reduce operational costs.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in mechanical engineering to recommend and implement innovative solutions.
- Develop and maintain accurate documentation, including equipment records, maintenance logs, and technical manuals.
- Participate in incident investigations related to mechanical systems failures or malfunctions, and propose appropriate corrective and preventive measures.
- Continuous training of relevant staff on the safe operation of various mechanical systems
Qualifications
- Minimum of Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Professional certification or licensure as a Mechanical Engineer will be an added advantage.
- Proven experience (3+ years) working as a Mechanical Engineer, preferably in a hospital setting.
Electrical Engineer – CTC
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of electrical systems, equipment, and devices in accordance with established schedules.
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment, ensuring compliance with local and national electrical codes.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions, perform repairs or replacements as needed.
- Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to coordinate electrical work and minimize disruption to hospital operations.
- Respond to electrical emergencies promptly and provide immediate solutions to ensure patient safety and uninterrupted medical services.
- Keep accurate records of electrical maintenance, repairs, and installations, including work performed, materials used, and expenses incurred.
- Recommend upgrades and improvements to electrical systems and equipment to enhance performance, energy efficiency, and safety.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures, including lockout/tagout protocols, grounding, and arcnflash protection.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical technology, codes, and regulations to ensure the hospital’s electrical systems are up-to-date and in compliance.
- Work with procurement department to maintain inventory of electrical supplies and equipment.
- Provide guidance and support to other maintenance staff on electrical systems and procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum of Diploma and/or certification in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Valid electrician license issued by the relevant regulatory authority.
- Proven experience as an Electrician, preferably in a healthcare or hospital setting.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.
