Customer Operations Lead

CATEGORY/FUNCTION INTRODUCTION

Customer Operations is a new function inside Unilever Business Operations that aims to deliver superior customer experience to all Unilever’s customers and establish Unilever as Supplier no. 1 in the industry! The function manages the Plan to Deliver to Cash cycle and delivers exceptional stock availability, optimised inventory, optimised distribution costs and exceptional cash collection.

  • The CO lead focusses on operational responsibility for primary sales customer collaboration through efficient planning, logistics and order to cash which delivers superior customer experience
  • Leads the program to get Unilever to be the #1 Supplier for our customers in Kenya as well as driving improved service to neighbouring countries (Tanzania, Uganda etc.)
  • Single point of accountability for Customer Operations in the market. The CO transformation will re-engineer the organisation, processes and technology to deliver improved customer experience, tech and processes needed to grow the business.
  • Business partners CD and Manufacturing in the market
  • Ensures rigour and controls are in place in the S&OP Process to improve FA, FB and VVD
  • Delivers primary sales result monthly within the guardrails of revenue recognition, customer inventory targets and TTS targets as set by CSP

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

  • Owns the E2E demand plan and demand fulfilment of the market – from Plan to Cash  and tracks performance outcomes with the market.
  • Accountable for Customer experience. Interacts with customers from trade promotion management, multiyear customer collaboration program for #1 Supplier, primary sales order taking to cash collection
  • Accountable for customer operations and trade promotion management within guardrails
  • Identifies operational risks which impact growth and cost and provide insights that can be turned into workable solutions
  • Accountable with logistics to deliver OTIF to customers, joint work on Cost to Serve, ensuring collaboration of Customer Service and logistics to drive service, value unlocks and the carbon neutral agenda for logistics with partners and customers
  • Accountable for master data management; implements policies and delivers required financial controls
  • Adheres to defined guardrails and executes the cost to serve strategy

Information Security Lead, Africa

Role Purpose:

This Information Security Lead role supports the BISO in securing Unilever’s business in Africa. This includes cyber risk assessment across the region, including for third parties, representing to the regional businesses our central security services, applying those services to determine gaps in the regional security posture, consulting on appropriate risk mitigation approaches, managing the regional security exceptions, cyber incident response in the region, and elevating and reporting into the central Cyber Security function. These activities will be conducted with a ‘Risk Based’ approach to help individual businesses manage cyber risk in their area.

Role Summary:

A vacancy exists for the Information Security Lead (ISL) for Africa within Unilever’s cyber function. The successful candidate will be responsible for the Africa region achieving and maintaining Cyber Security objectives, standards, awareness, and compliance, defined using a ‘Risk Based’ approach. This leadership position will report to the regional Business Information Security Lead (BISO).

Key areas under this role delivered by the ISL team include:

  • Cyber security solution engineering and risk advisory across Unilever businesses, assuring appropriate risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and reporting.
  • Ensuring the deployment and running of security tooling in Africa, in conjunction with the Tech & Ops team.
  • Ensuring the Security Operations Centers (SOC) have full visibility across the ecosystem and actively participate in incident response at the direction of the Head of Incident Response.
  • Developing and delivering risk reports for Africa.
  • Tailoring cyber training and awareness in Africa in alignment and partnership with the Cyber Training and Awareness Lead.
  • Leading cyber cultural transformation across Africa in line with our Security Strategy and Transformation program.
  • Maintaining and effectively directing the timely closure of security exceptions in businesses while reporting status to the Governance, Risk, Assurance and Compliance (GRAC) team.

The position calls for a strategic individual with strong communication and influencing skills, who can roll their sleeves up tactically to understand business operations, digital transformation, cloud, applications, information technology (IT), operational technology (OT), internet of things (IoT) and Cybersecurity. This leader will utilize her/his knowledge and experience to assist with the implementation of an effective global cyber security program that ensures the overall cyber security posture of the company is aligned with business needs and balanced to protect in the evolving threat landscape. This role supports the Global CISO in building strong relationships with internal leaders and senior executives, along with the other senior Cyber Security leadership team, on matters of cyber security and cyber risk, to foster the execution of cyber security as a business enabler.

Site SHE Coordinator

JOB PURPOSE

S/he works with site Supply Chain teams to develop the local SHE Strategy and improvement plans in order to achieve sustainable SHE excellence by reducing injuries, illnesses and environmental impact as measured in the core KPIs.  S/he will also be responsible for contributing to the response to any situations that do arise, such as staff injury in the factory or offices or liaising with local authorities in the aftermath of safety incidents. WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

  • Conduct trend analysis from incidents, near misses, safe behavior observations and deep compliance audits
  • Ensure the implementation of safety and compliance at all office and site locations
  • Provide weekly, monthly ,quarterly & annual safety updates to leadership.
  • Support the safety pillar and Environment pillar in accordance to UMS
  • Drive safety and environment risk assessment and develop/implement appropriate controls
  • In coordination with SHE Manager plan the H&S activities, defining the measures required to be implemented on site, in accordance with the legislation, internal policies and OHS Plan.
  • Complete safety assessment checklists and develop recommended risk mitigation measures with some guidance from SHE Manager.
  • Coordinate the Implementation of the annual SHE Training plan
  • Verify with local authorities the conformity with the regulations, the mandatory licenses, and reports.
  • Verify the existence and validity of the mandatory H&S documentation of the Subcontractors and all the workers on site;
  • Promote the Health and Safety culture among all the workers, disseminating awareness campaigns, making Induction Trainings, Tool-box-Trainings and Emergency Drill Exercises.
  • Distribute and/or verify the use of the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment and their condition.
  • Perform internal H&S inspections and audits, collecting evidences and reporting incidents and non-conformities, searching for continuous improvements of the processes;
  • Collect and report periodically the data needed for the H&S KPIs calculations and monitoring;
  • Act as a primary or secondary responder to safety incidents involving all staff during office hours, and escalating incident response management to SHE & Site leadership when necessary
  • Provide First-aid assistance in case of accidents
  • Take the necessary measures to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene on the site, preventing and taking care of any possible illness situation affecting employees .
  • Participate in emergency and fire-fighting teams in accordance with the specific plans.
